  1. Absolutely beautiful in Arizona, I always question why I left there to move to Wisconsin...
  2. I'm no Dr. but if any Cub was receiving a cortisone shot in Spring Training after having surgery on their hand, I would be worried!
  3. too cold in april, i'm going in june. The roof helps!
  4. Weeks swing is similar to Sheff's, if he is feeling sore now, I would imagine there is cause for concern. It would not be good for the Crew to start out with Graff at 3rd and Counsel at 2b.
  5. So you choose being a fan based on who the GM gives money to?
  6. Look at it this way, it is cheaper than a gallon of gas.
  7. Agreed, Santana has his own category. Sheets (when healthy) can be amazing. Perhaps a better comparison is Roy Oswalt, no?
  8. Melvin has been quoted a number of times that Hall will start in Center!
  9. Ronny Cedeno, went 3-for-7 with two RBI and a walk.
  10. Is there even a sniff of this being reported? Or for now is this a pipe dream? I drool at the thought of Ichiro being a Cub, his batting stance and style may drive Cub fans crazy, but his consistant performance and ability to roam the outfield would create much joy in Cubland!
  11. Nice car, but not for 125k. Agreed, amazing the drop in price on the AMG models. That car typically is around 115+ sticker and can be fetched used for around 50K or so.
  12. If you plan on being or are a DirecTV customer, IMO, go with the EI package. You will be able to see HD baseball on ESPN/ESPN2 and INHD1 (subscription required). MLB.TV is an alternative to those who will not go with DirecTV or want to watch via broadband.
  13. Very easy to setup, personally the older models leave much to be desired. However, their new PRO version is pretty sweet from what I understand. I have yet to purchase it, but will provide a review once I get it installed. Please do. I've considered getting one so I could watch my EI package from work or while I'm out of town on someone else's computer. (Like the in-laws.) I think one of those could be my next big purchase, but I'm not really adept at installing electronics. I'll put up seperate post or PM you. I plan on picking this up before the end of Feb.
  14. Last I checked it was one login per IP address. I would be suprised if you are able to login more than one time per game while still logged in on the original IP. When did you check??? I had used my same user id to login to multiple computers (anywhere from 3 to 6 computers were running games with my ONE user id) all the way up to game 5 of the 2006 WS. We did that almost every game. Suprised you accomplished this. Perhaps you are behind a firewall that broadcasts out the same IP. My understanding is that your login ID sync's with the IP address on the computer logged in. However, if you are behind a firewall, MLB's servers may see you as 192.168.x.x etc... Not sure, maybe others with a better understanding of IP Addressing and general connectivity can chime in. Again, I would be shocked if 1 username could populate several computers. If that is the case, I will buy a NSBB username and share it with everyone!

  17. I am curious to know when it will be formally announced, although it is still early, my cable co. still has it as part of my package and plans on charging me :)
  18. How is this comparable? It's more like a season ticket holder being told he can't have season tickets anymore, even if he's willing to pay for them. A perfect analogy, well said!
  19. I don't think this is correct, my understanding is that the deal has been accepted, but has yet to be announced. Regarding 2009, that is the target year for a full baseball channel, much like the NFL Network. And to comment on Cox carrying EI this season, you think they are going to tell you they are not, potentially losing a customer? :0 Nail is in the coffin, so to speak! (I hope I am wrong)!
  20. I'll try and make my final post regarding this whole Muskat thing and the use of "Jesus" First off, my bad on offending those when I used "Muskat" I do agree that it is childish and not beneficial to the board. Secondly, the stance I have on "Jesus" is a personal matter and even though I choose not to say or type it, I will not impose on those who use it freely. A board that is free and open to many people is bound to have different opinions and beliefs, I understand that. Therefore, as long as I have the freedom to view and read I also possess the freedom not to view or read parts that are offensive to me. So I will exercise that freedom and disregard the "offensive" parts. So, in my mind.... press on and Go Cubs! Oh, and in regards to Floyd, I am pumped for this signing and honestly feel he will do well in Chicago!
  21. Don't worry what Muskat has to say, she is worthless! can we stop calling her Muskat? jesus. Is it really that big of deal? Obviously bigger than taking the Lord's name in vain... Pretty sad in my opinion. I would never type Muskat again if I didn't have to see the Lord's on this board again.
  22. I like this signing very much. And to those who think it will take AB's from Murton, I disagree, I have heard nothing but positive remarks from JH and Sweet Lou. I hope to see Murton in LF, Soriano in CF and a platoon with Jones/Floyd in RF. Go Cubs!
  23. Unfortunately, I'm not going to have time to check it out. If anyone can provide a quick synopsis, it would be much appreciated. I listened to it and didn't find it to be inside information at all. Basically summed up what fans thought and how it could pull fans away from watching in the future. Unless they talked further, I didn't find it to be anything worth noting.
  24. This is about the only thing worth mentioniong in the article. Otherwise, it is much of his opinion and quotes from this past weekends NY Times article. I also heard Mike/Mike in the Morning discussing this. It appears it will happen this year, or so they say!
  25. I would say you have other issues if you have a 6mb connection and you still have a horrific picture. I recall watching 3 or 4 games on MLB.tv via WiFi last year (tops 3mg connection) and had no problems at all. Sure the video was streaming, and not exactly HD, but it wasn't nearly as bad as you experienced.
