I expected to see Peralta on this list, he'd be a good fit. What about Michael King as a cheaper alternative to Skubal? Do you want to try to bring back any of Peterson/Holmes/Gausman?

The Cubs would be short-sighted to trade both Matt Shaw and Pedro Ramirez, for this year's bench and next year's needs. Trade Shaw and a prospect instead. -
I like the idea of Shaw for Loftin and a prospect. Shaw for Tolle or Early from Boston? Or for Jared Jones from the Pirates? ---edit--- Seeing your more recent article with other options, including Boston.

Um, the Cubs already traded Hayden Wesneski.... I expected to see Nico Hoerner listed in the article, not as an afterthought.
