You absolutely take Schaefer. He is the consensus best prospect in the draft. You figure out the rest later. That being said, if the Islanders inexplicably pass on him, San Jose won't.

I really don't think Hagens is on Davidson's radar. If Misa is available at #3, they'll take him. If he goes to San Jose, I expect the pick to be either Frondell or Desnoyers.

There is no giving up “too much” for Tucker. Jed gave up what it cost to acquire him. The alternative was no Tucker, not a less costly package for Tucker. The Cubs aldo aren’t as good without him.

He made the correct calls on Javy, KB, and Rizzo. Managed to acquire PCA in one of those deals. Brought in Tucker. Hit on Boyd, which was largely criticized when it happened. If the team misses the post-season this year it won’t be because he didn’t put a playoff caliber team on the field. He’s been exactly “pretty good.” Losing to St. Louis sucks, but everyone here needs to take a breather.
