Welcome to the forum! The Cubs will add rotation help. If they don't get a bat for 3B, I'm cool with it and think they can win in spite of Shaw's bat because there's enough pop up and down the whole lineup and they play good to exceptional defense at every position. -
I have no skin in the B1G game but have certain schools that I tend to root for often for absolutely no reason and Minnesota has always been one of them.

I spent several months working in Rensselaer in 2023-24. The winter lover in me loved the cold and snow but kind of a miserable little town to live in. Proximity to Hawks games was great though. Spent a lot of that time making trips up to the UC to keep my sanity.

What point are we ruling a game a tie? The Cubs played 12 extra inning games last year. That’s a lot of ties even over 162 games.

Why so angry? It’s okay to have different opinions.

It’s never the proper outcome when it can be avoided. The NHL finally realized that. It isn’t like boxing where the scorecards aren’t revealed until after the fight is over. Even then, fans can watch a total banger of a fight that was justified in being scored a draw and they’ll still groan at the outcome.

A tie game in an exhibition is fine. No regular season games should end in a tie though.

Ties sucked. NHL OT rules aren’t perfect, but it beats walking out of a game feeling like nothing was resolved.
