  1. What’cha gonna do when Taylor Rogers, Mike Soroka, and the Chicago Cubs run wild on you, brother?!
  2. I have no qualms with the value of that trade and the Cubs are absolutely not 63-45 without Tucker. I’m 50-50 on whether he resigns or not, but even if he doesn’t, I still would not consider it a bad trade. You essentially made your team better now and allowed yourself a whole season to hash out an extension or at least show Tucker why he should stay.
  3. It absolutely is relevant. It means the price was either so astronomically high that no team including the Cubs was willing to pay it or those pitchers weren’t available.
  4. And you think the Cubs were the only team capable of paying that price?
  5. They didn’t need Suarez. They needed a quality bench bat with versatility and they got that. Gore, Ryan, Alcantara, Cabrera, and Cease stayed put. They were neither winners or losers.
  6. Castro is nice and if they can work out an extension to keep him as a bench/super-sub for next season then I love the deal.
  7. Not entirely defending Jed here, but he can’t make deals where there are no deals to be made. Simply saying “we should have traded X, Y, Z for Ryan or Cabrera” is easy to do, but the reality is those guys didn’t get moved at all.
  8. I’m shocked the Angels didn’t deal Kikuchi.
  9. The “oh-em-gee do something mob” relax now.
  10. I was at the game when he tore his groin. 😢
  11. “It’s pandemonium in here.” - Gorilla Monsoon
  12. What are the chances we double dip and send a Caissie package to Washington for Gore?
  13. Ryan Helsley is headed to the Mets.
  14. It should be a yearly trade deadline thread tradition.
  15. Oh man, where to begin? She was too gutless to stand up for herself or leave a relationship she didn’t want to be in. She created an offense romance with Jim and eventually took it all the way to cheating, then rejected him causing him to transfer to another city, only to then tell him “hey, I’m ready now” as soon as her dysfunctional relationship that she wasn’t being faithful in ended. Then when Jim gets with a way better and way prettier woman, she’s pretty awful toward her and eventually splits the two of them up. Later, after Roy moves on and significantly improves his life and finds a great woman of his own, she got in her feels and was jealous of his happiness. She was a brat when her mom seemed very happy with Michael. She didn’t support Jim’s dream even when he fully supported her dream when she went back to art school. She was manipulative with pretty much every person she interacted with. Treated Erin like dirt. Jim was no saint either. He hid things from Pam and didn’t communicate with her. Their entire relationship was pretty much built on their belief that they were better than everyone else in the office. Yea, they were awful people.
  16. Phone lines in Jed’s office are so quiet the trade deadline thread became a debate over characters in The Office.
  17. She had her moments but was consistently an awful person.
  18. Same. Pam and Jim especially.
  19. Suarez makes a lot less sense now than a month ago.
  20. Lost in all of this is how great Nico has been over the last several weeks,
