  1. Pearson is hard to trust with only an 8 run lead.
  2. That’s what I do too because I like the sounds of the ballpark. Tennis Channel plus will often broadcast matches without commentary and it’s so enjoyable. It’s the relaxing experience I want out of watching a sporting event.
  3. I would pay good money to be able to watch a TV broadcast with no commentary.
  4. It was the only way they could get their fans to show up.
  5. Yep. No lineup combination is going to be the secret sauce to sparking these dead bats.
  6. Our kryptonite isn't actually kryptonite. It's just ordinary looking rocks.
  7. This is about as even a matchup between two mediocre pitchers as you can get.
  8. Former future Cub Edward Cabrera went 8 innings, allowed only a solo HR, and struck out 11 in Atlanta tonight.
  9. Sometimes all that matters is getting in and getting hot at the right time. That said, I have no faith in this team going on that kind of a heater for the rest of this season.
  10. It’s hot out and the Cubs suck. We’re all disoriented.
  11. In 2015 and 2016 it seemed that no lead was insurmountable. With this team it seems even 3 runs is too many to make up.
  12. We needed one of those. Wish we had gotten a TOR dud to go with him.
  13. I can understand why people hate on St. Louis pizza but I grew up with it. Provel is fantastic. Everything else you said is on the money though.
  14. Yadi will be joining the Cardinals staff for tonight and tomorrow as an invitee, per Derrick Goold. No doubt an organizational stunt to try to bring fans in to balance out the sea of blue they are anticipating.
  15. 18-year old Victoria Mboko just won the Rogers Cup as a wildcard and beat four Grand Slam champions to do it. 👏🏻
  16. I have always wanted to attend a game like this. With the Cubs coming out on top of course. Closest I’ve seen is some of those early 2000s games against the Cards where no lead from either team is safe.
  17. And I’m Linus waiting for the great pumpkin (a post-season appearance).
