    Of course there is a subjective scale. It was a very light hit, the softest one I have ever seen that resulted in a concussion. You could tell Jay gave up in the first half. This was his way out of the game. He is making a statement to Lovie and Jerry. You're delusional.

    There's a lot of blame to go around for this shitfest that we're watching but Martz deserves to get his fair share for the atrocious play calling. If I didn't know better, it seemed like Cutler played the whole game with a concussion. He was making such poor decisions with the ball, not recognizing blatant blitzes, and just in general, seemed apathetic or out of it or something.

    Well the Ryder Cup is the one to go to. Football-type atmosphere and really spectator friendly because of the format. That's exactly my thoughts, I have very little desire to go see a regular tournament but the Ryder Cup seems like the way to go.

    thinking back on that, yeah it makes sense. i figured he just misjudged the pursuit. i thought it was weird at the time because his instincts in those situations are usually very good. If I remember correctly, UMFan broke the play down like the Zapruder film to show how much he dodged any contact despite having an open field right in front of him.

    I've had a similar problem DVRing them. My theory is that some of the games are also being aired on FSC and FSC+. Those channels are then blacked out in the 480s if you don't have FSC, as I do not. On a somewhat related note, Comcast Sportsnet aired the Chelsea champions league match live yesterday. Ah. . .that theory is possible and would make some sense. I don't have FSC or FSC+ either. Far better theory than anything I could come up with (I was wondering if for some reason 480-485 were DVRable but nothing higher -- which would be illogical, but still). Really? That's totally random. Suppose I'll have to check Comcast in the future for soccer (at least Champions League). I got an message from Directv saying there will be a free trial of FSC+ starting on Oct.2nd. Great! Thanks. I would not have even checked. Wonder how long the trial lasts? Might have preferred the FSC game of Aston-Tottenham, but nice opportunity to watch Dempsey. (And switch back-and-forth with the Man U-Sunderland game on ESPN2). And he scores!!! Great goal! Even with his face smashed. I think the trial runs through next Sunday, unfortunately next weekend is an international break so the number of games is really limited.

    If he was in the Chicago market he could see it over the air. I assume GB had the same thing. When a NY team plays on ESPN it's shown on the WB channel 9 around here. Yeah it was on WCIU-26. It pulled in a huge rating on there too.
