  1. NFL Network is airing Senior Bowl practice all week.
  2. The national media has been a bigger bunch of jerkoffs than the Chicago media in this situation.
  3. god, today can't get over fast enough.
  4. Dan Bernstein (who, while can be a pompous ass, I respect and his opinions rise about meatball status that most voices in the Chicago media possess) posted a blog on the Score's website:
  5. I wonder what Rick Reilly thinks of all this.
  6. Raisin's nailed it on Maurice Jones-Drew. His hypocrisy on this is literally unbelievable. Your team was in a battle for a playoff spot and your ass is sitting on the sideline too. I'm curious to see if any paints Cutler's reported torn MCL as still being something he should have tried to play on because it's not the most damaging of all the possible knee injuries. You know all the old thyme, "you would have had to drag me off the field for me not to play", "I had 20 surgeries when I was in the NFL" tough guy mentality that dominants the talking head media. If people thought Cutler was a punkass to the media in the past, he's gonna take it to a whole other level next year.
  7. manu should be cut too.
  8. I think the new collective bargaining agreement will influence the direction of the offseason, especially considering possible changes to the salary cap, years before free agency, and rookie wage scale.
  9. Offensive line improvement has to be the overall goal of the offseason. Despite Lovie and Angelo's love of adding back-up pieces to their defense, that should not be a priority.
  10. Few quick thoughts on the game: *The 3rd and 3 call is inexcusable. That was supposedly called, then changed it, called a timeout and ran it coming it out of the timeout anyway. How do you run that play to the short side of the field? Absolutely terrible. *Lovie Smith is such a puss when it come to field goal/punting/field position decisions. Robbie Gould gets a ton of love for how accurate he is, but if the guy can't even be sent out on the field for a ~50 yard field goal, then how good is he? Mike Mulligan this morning said that Gould was easily hitting from that length into that endzone during pre-game. *I'm firmly in the anti-meatball camp concerning Jay Cutler's toughness. I don't wish an injury on anyone but I hope Cutler does indeed have that MCL tear that is being suspected. Days like today reaffirm my views that I hate, hate, hate talking any sports with anyone in any circumstances. People...they're the worst.
  11. Love it. anybody got a video of it? Increadible 1st touch. He would have buried it if he was not brought down. http://www.fullgoals.com/2011/01/fulham-2-0-stoke-premier-league-2011.html Thanks, that's amazing to get a Bergkamp comparison.
  12. Love it. anybody got a video of it?
  13. Reading the rest of the discussion about the GB-Bears rivalry in that chat made me want to put my head through my computer monitor.
  14. I like Rex Ryan, Ben Roethlisberger is a scumbag, and I'm just tired of the Steelers in general. Go JETS.
  15. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/18/cowboys-would-think-about-listening-to-offers-for-dez-bryant/related Cowboys would listen to offers for Bryant.
  16. c'mon, the green bay way is to rape an underage girl in a hot tub at a high school party.
  17. dear god, please let the bears win.
  18. Matty Iccccccccccccce. The packers are effing good, jesus.
  19. I enjoy King, but I don't watch every Bulls game and could see where his act would get tired. On a semi-related note, I'm rereading The Jordan Rules and Sam Smith portrays Stacey King as a total clown that his teammates, coaches, and front office couldn't stand. Its funny to read him getting smashed but his broadcasting career has really taken off recently.
  20. It might be cheesy, but I really do like the fact that the rosters of our teams are so diverse*. Its an interesting melting pot. *by diverse, i don't mean the shady brazilians playing for eastern european sides kind of diversity.
  21. I can understand why you're not excited about the hire but I think you'll grow to like him and he'll do a good job (obviously, considering the circumstances).
  22. Let's just get to the NFC championship. Sorry bukie, I take my football two games at a time.
