I find it strange that they don't do free previews of the original Fox Soccer. Also that they'd do their free preview on a weekend of bull [expletive] FA Cup nonsense instead of a full slate of the PL. I was gonna post the exact same thing.
Keep in mind also that the TV deals the NFL signed will be paid out even if there is no football this year. So while the players are sitting at home gaining little to no income, the owners are still drawing in plenty of revenue. I don't see how the players can win a standoff with the owners. I thought the TV revenue deal for '11 was struck down by a judge recently.
I think a lot of what it is, is Bloggers sending info into Yahoo Sports and having them connect the dots. Yahoo also isn't in bed with the NCAA like ESPN is with their billions of dollars of tv deals.
I had a few tabs open just to try to get in, which I eventually was able to, but didn't buy any. The only games I can go to are weekend summer dates and those are so expensive that I passed.
:banghead: Two years is pretty acceptable, imo. My sentiments as well. I'm not a Smith fan, but knowing that he was absolutely going to get an extension, this is probably the best case scenario.
