  1. The Rugby World Cup is being at least partially broadcast on the new NBC Universal Sports channel. Its 625 on Directv.
  2. Its great to have football back.
  3. This paywall is a last gasp effort for the Daily Herald to survive. Outside of Bruce Miles, their only real content is local news which I doubt that enough people would pay for.
  4. Greg Gabriel picked the Bears to win the wildcard.
  5. The 506 has updated its maps.
  6. I'd still like to do this Wednesday night if there's interest. I just want to do an auction style draft, so I'm not picky with the number of teams, etc.
  7. They'd fit right in to the Chicago newspaper scene if that's the case.
  8. How so? I read it this morning and just checked it out. Sorry, should have been more specific. There's a free article limit per month (like NYT) and then the paywall kicks in.
  9. This is the second time in a month that ESPN has done this too. No shock that they delayed showing the second live event until the first one is done. In this case, I don't see how it's ESPN's fault that they have had so much rain in Atlanta. They're supposed to change their policies so they will benefit only me. Yeah, I like soccer and I don't like Nascar. Therefore, ESPN is wrong.
  10. The entire newspaper's online content is behind a paywall now.
  11. This is the second time in a month that ESPN has done this too.
  12. I don't know why the Bears would add to a position of strength (DL) and take away from an area with minimal depth (LB).
  13. I'm in! Do we have 10?
  14. I'm not convinced that Harvey Unga exists or has ever existed.
  15. I'd still be interested if there's a draft time that I could made.
  16. I would be disappointed with that series of events. Terribly, but I think it would be unlikely as Ricketts has already said they are not looking in house for the GM position.
  17. That's too bad. I really like Rich Eisen so that is disappointing to hear. The good thing is, the NFL Network has done a really good job of having good on-air personalities for the most part (Thursday night game crews excluded) so it's not as bad as it'd be on ESPN or something. PFT makes it seem like Eisen got a promotion, but it just seems he's cutting back on how much he's doing for NFLN.
  18. Tank Tyler's snoring could still find a home.
  19. Brad Biggs said that Lance Briggs' contract is now 60% paid out and that he doesn't have any more roster bonuses moving forward.
  20. Caleb Hanie went in the 2nd round of one I was in last week. Needless to say, the guy's a Chicago meatball. I encourage incompetence from my fellow team owners.
  21. Gordo is making the case for former LA GM Dan Evans. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/7281004-419/dan-evans-the-perfect-fit-for-cubs-gm-job.html
