  1. If that pattern holds, Carimi will have constant knee problems over the next few years, we'll stick with him through all of the injuries and rehab, then cut him and watch him become a consistent starter with other teams for the next 6-8 years.
  2. the front of his neck is terrifying.
  3. I've never heard that before either.
  4. Dan Connor denied that he was pranking Sandusky. He said it was "another retired coach".
  5. 2-0 I believe. Wins against the Packers and Vikings. Just more evidence for making my case. Blue on blue is hideous, weske. White on white is slick.
  6. record when the bears wear the kick-ass retros from last season: 1-0.
  7. The Big Ten Network isn't even live right now? That's pathetic.
  8. Dan Bernstein: Anyone know a phone number for the 1970 Ohio National Guard?
  9. Orange jerseys should never be worn.
  10. Population shift from the Rust Belt to the Sun Belt. People keep their old teams.
  11. The playing calling by LSU at the goal line was horrendous. The pass with only one guy, the full back, going out into a pattern is absurd.
  12. Missouri was definitely a slave state. It didn't secede from the Union during the Civil War, but neither did some other slave states (Kentucky, Maryland, and Delaware).
  13. Len Kasper was just advocating him as a possible pickup from the Cubs.
  14. Kap's a baseball neanderthal. He's so focused on getting rid of the players he doesn't like on the Cubs (Soriano, Zambrano, and Ramirez) and "changing the culture" that he spends his valuable access time with new front office personnel dwelling on the drivel. His nearsightedness is embarrassing for someone who is charged with interview this men. The new front office is going to completely overhaul the entire organization, and in doing so, will charge the culture by draft, signing, and trading for much better players than they've had.
  15. I think it's pretty awesome too, but I'll bet none of these "kids" were considered cool when they were in school. I'm glad we have the not "cool" kids running our team rather than the meathead athletes who would've have been "cool". Did you guys all go to high school in an 80s movie? http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0PDoX.q8a9OcRYAW6WjzbkF;_ylu=X3oDMTBpcGszamw0BHNlYwNmcC1pbWcEc2xrA2ltZw--/SIG=13mr0abuj/EXP=1320182314/**http%3A//www.fanforum.com/f129/william-zabka-appreciation-thread-quintessential-80-s-bully-62854012/

  17. He wants to open a book store? He really has been focused on baseball the last 20 years.
  18. I'm in. No money prize is necessary but the winner gets to unban any poster of their choosing.
  19. i like onion gravy with it too.
  20. If Zambrano, Ramirez, and Wood all aren't on the Cubs in 2012, then that leave zero players from the 2003. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, by the way, its just an end of an era (in more than one way, with Theo now in charge).
  21. Bloody Marys are horrendous. Coffee and Bailey's for me as early Sunday beverage.
  22. Normally, I have little interest in the MLB postseason unless the Cubs are involved. But for whatever reason, I watched more of this World Series than of any other in the last few years. It was compelling and enjoy (outside of the Cardinals winning).
  23. Unsurprisingly, the Bears plan on franchise tagging Matt Forte is they can't reach an extension with him.
  24. It's difficult to objectively measure "work ethic" for managerial candidates, but Lou Piniella's malaise during his final two years as manager of the Cubs could be fairly identified. His attitude when he was a candidate for the position is unclear, but a guy like him at the tail of his career, it wouldn't be a surprise if he was not as dedicated as we was earlier in his career. It's hard to for us to know the quality of work he was doing behind the scenes but it seemed clear that his public persona from around June '09 through the end of his run was apathetic.
