  1. His actions are close to insubordination
  2. Pulling a vanishing act to go....across the country? Unforgivable. It's a tight race. I'd think about moving on from him if he thinks so little of the team.
  3. Have to agree...he hasn't had a clean inning yet, and the first hitter invariably always reaches base. a 1-run lead will never be safe with him as the closer.
  4. But...it really wasn't an apology for anything, the way I read it......he just wants to relevant, somehow. He says he's sorry but qualifies it by saying "I never broke any laws." If he really apologized, he should have said "I'm sorry I took performance enhancing substances.." But he didn't.
  5. Cubs fan in San Diego. I don't see the Padres moving on from either of those two, due to Musgrove probably missing all of next year. They will jettison the injured Ha Seong Kim, tho. He is a free agent and it seems weird to extend him when they don't want to expand the payroll. I don't see how much they can do, as they can't lose pitching -- they will not catch the Dodgers if they do. Their payroll problems are looming, and with less TV revenue the ownership group will not want to continue to spend. If Peter Seidler was still alive, he would still authorize Preller to do...anything. But that's not the case any more.
