Every single year. The same story with the Angels. I get Mike Trout got a well paid contract (even unders), but gosh, his initial six year contract was expirinh in 2020. He could have literally just left as a FA and had his pick of contenders. But nope, he signed his career to a go nowhere club in 2019.
