  1. There is an old saying that everyone will keep getting promoted within a company because the company have reached their level of incompetence. The Ricketts family have reached that level and just don’t care about spending money. If this clubs owners cared about this team, someone in upper management would have said by now, “now wait a damn minute, that's stupid as hell” about Jed fumbling his way through every winter. Another offseason of pain is coming up.
  2. Starter good. Bullpen bad. Hitters good. Starter bad. Bullpen good. Hitters bad. Starter good. Bullpen good. Hitters bad. Started bad. Bullpen bad. Hitters bad. Starter bad. Bullpen bad. Hitters good. Every day we can expect option 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. You can’t say this team doesn’t change it up every day.
  3. A world where Brewer is probably the most trust worthy bullpen arm this week.
  4. This is the fourth game from the last 5 with 5+ runs. Very pleasing to see lately.
  5. Mike Napoli just decides to come out looking like he belongs in an Italian fashion magazine.
  6. Some of the goals at this Euro’s have been incredible.
  7. A foot closer and the RF’er could have Canseco’d that for a HR. 😞
  8. When MLB data trackers come out at the end of the year and lets us know just how efficient the umpires were with balls and strike, it will be something crazy like 93.68% correct calls. 😂
  9. Not learning per se as it was a massive brain fart in the moment.
  10. Today has been vintage Kyle Hendricks. In fact his last appearance was very good as well.
  11. The runner at 3rd should have gone on contact. As soon as the baseball was caught the fielder was running to 2nd and then would have needed to throw home. Very difficult to accomplish all of that before the run is scored.
  12. “Baseball lineups hit more when weather becomes warmer” is still an undefeated stat.
  13. It gets better, no one is trading for Cody Bellinger and he will activate his next two player options over the next two years. That contract is going to become another black mark on Jed Hoyer.
  14. Bases loaded, no outs. Inning over, no runs four pitches later. 😂
  15. It should be a team wide rule that if someone hits a double and there are no outs, the next hitter has to bunt him over to 3rd and sacrifice himself. I figure it’s way easier to score runs with someone on 3rd and 1 out, than it is with someone on 2nd and no outs with this lineup.
  16. If you want to go older, Pete Rose? Another tarnished reputation.
  17. “Cubs going for the series win tomorrow…… with Kyle Hendricks on the mound.” Had me in the first half. Am I right? 😞
  18. Just once before I die I would like to see a base runner at 3rd not go on contact right to the 3rd baseman.
  19. No opposition manager is ever worried about letting their starter throw 100+ pitches against this lineup.
