  1. Can’t wait to see Caissie in the bigs. Guy has so much natural pop.
  2. Morel continuing to hit.
  3. This dude has the worst injury luck I’ve seen in some time.
  4. I think it’s a high 80s win team. I think the talent overall is better than last year and now we have a better manager IMO. Hopefully the team is playing well going into the deadline and we can make an impactful move or two to really jumpstart a playoff run.
  5. Excuse me?
  6. Yep. It allows PCA to spend more time in AAA and potentially come back up for injuries. The lineup is deep and dangerous. Potentially high upside with Morel and Busch as well. I’d be very excited.
  7. Bellinger and Martinez to finish the offseason and let’s roll.
  8. Tick tock Jed.
  9. As I said in the other thread, my dad passed away about three weeks ago from cancer too. Ryno was his favorite player. He was at the famous Ryno game in the RF bleachers. So this hurts a lot. I hope and pray he can beat the prognosis odds and bounce back.
  10. My dad just passed away from cancer on January 3rd. I hate that horsefeathers man. It’s the worst. I hope Ryno can get through it.
  11. Passan saying the hope is he plays 3B. I wonder if that’s him guessing or if it’s sourced.
  12. I’ve read the Cubs feel confident they can tweak his pitch mix and fastball placement to get the home run rate down.
  13. I know Bellinger is a risk, but we are at the point of the offseason where all we have are risks. Unless we are going to dip heavily into our prospect pool and get some bats via trade. But when have we ever done that?
  14. It feels like, no matter what, we are gonna have a hole somewhere going into the season. I think 3B will end up being that spot. I’m cool with it though. That lineup is pretty good, especially if we get the second half version of Suzuki going forward.
  15. Yep. You add two plus bats, a young/controlled TORP, a great pen arm, and a depth SP with some upside. Maybe try and tread water in that 3B spot with Madrigal/Morel until the deadline. DH I’m not too worried about. Hoskins, Bellinger, Suzuki, Happ, Morel, and maybe Canario can all rotate at that spot depending on the lineup. Hopefully Horton comes up at some point and you have a rotation of Steele, Luzardo, Giolito, and Horton going into the postseason. Have Horton piggyback with Taillon or Hendricks or something throughout the season. I’ll take that team.
  16. Yeah let’s hope Bellinger falls into the Cubs price range. It definitely seems like a Hoskins/Bellinger combo has the cleanest fit in Chicago.
  17. Don’t wanna say that completely takes them out of the Bellinger sweepstakes, but…
  18. Definitely worded like it’s speculation. He’s probably the only starting pitcher that’s apparently available that would legitimately excite me a lot.
