  1. Yea that's something I've been struggling with. It's kind of a loaded scenario and I would need to see what the return is for Hoerner. e.g. Does including Hoerner in a deal with the Mariners get us Gilbert/Kirby when they were otherwise off the table? If so, is Gilbert/Kirby + Shaw + decent IF bench acquisition that can play 2b if Shaw struggles better than the alternative of keeping Hoerner + trading for a lower tier SP? I could probably get there with trading Hoerner in a few scenarios, but they would have to really knock it out of the park.
  2. It's more so he's 34 coming off a career year. If it's Kikuchi + a trade for a cost controlled SP, sign me up. If he's our only major SP acquisition, then yea I'm extremely disappointed.
  3. This is where I’m at. They’re adding a veteran catcher, a bench bat, and a leverage BP piece. Outside of just loading up the bullpen, I don’t see any other gains to be made.
  4. What's the chances the Cubs sign a higher end SP (Fried) and also trade for a Woo/Miller? I'm on the Gilbert/Kirby train, but if a Woo/Miller is our secondary SP add this off-season I would absolutely be on board with that.
  5. My quick research shows anywhere from 3-6 months full recovery time. Most cases are on the lower end with some needing an additional surgery to clean up scar tissue, etc.
  6. Let’s go Royals! Erceg was such a good trade. Very jealous of that one.
  7. Cheering for Bob and the boys but picking Phillies over Yankees.
  8. Any extreme Cardinal fan will agree with that take. Basically that MO has been the mouth piece for the DeWitt's and that he's managed the roster how they've wanted. Done enough to keep butts in the seats, held onto their stars when the ideal baseball move was to trade them sooner, etc.
  9. They’re going to get hurt at some point or another. Might as well let them go for glory. 25 extra pitches this one game isn’t going to be the difference between Shota getting hurt in the future.
  10. Steele's injury probably needed a thread. Good news is it sounds like he avoided the worst case possible at this point but sounds like it's up in the air that he'll pitch again this season.
  11. Hopefully Busch/Belli/Happ get a few up in the new wind tunnel at Progressive.
  12. Agree. Bradish delayed having surgery at the start of the season and tried to pitch through it with R&R. Everyone knew what the end result was going to be for him. Now he's also likely to miss all of 2025. I know it's a tough decision, but I think I'd rather just bite the bullet and get it over with.
  13. PCA has been looking like a completely different hitter up there lately. If he figures it out, look out.
  14. He’s been running out of gas pretty early in games. But they pushed him back to give him extra rest against us, again.
  15. Would sure love to hurt the Cardinals playoff chances. Let's take 3 of 4.
