  1. There's a lot more options for OF as opposed to 3b. Soto - O'Neil - Santander - Teoscar. Outside of Soto, the dream scenario would be trading for and extending Kyle Tucker.
  2. LFG Jed. This is the type of risk he has to take with limited options at 3b.
  3. Let Jed cook. In all seriousness, I like this move. Has good stuff, just need to fix him. 2.5 years of control and the cost was minimal.
  4. At least the pitching matchups get easier the next two games........Oh wait
  5. They'll probably go on a winning streak in Sept to drop us 3-4 spots in the draft lottery.
  6. If everyone knew the next AB was going to be a 69.1 mph pop fly, I think we all would of taken that.
  7. That's optimistic to think this offense was going to score 3 runs
  8. Feel bad for Kyle. He was pitching great and then got BABIP'd to death.
  9. Good weekend for me to be stuck watching the Royals broadcast
  10. Things are happening quick
  11. Doesn't seem likely that they would go after both Eflin and Jamo right?
  12. Anyone catch what Heyman said? Seeing on Twitter that he said Suzuki has been involved in trade talks. Hoping the context around what he said is along the lines of “teams have asked about his availability”. It was said on the B/R app, but I don’t have -
  13. Fully agree with the premise here. More or less talking out loud through the Astros farm and looking for need/readiness. Key word from my original post was "piece", so the hope would be we get more upside along with him (As pointed out, Astros don't have much, so they are a ****** trade partner to begin with). With that said, Whitcomb's line this year in AAA 20/63/78/24 .293/.381/.526 121 wRC+ 11.5%BB 19.9K% 407PA/91 games. He's been blocked by Pena/Bregman. It would be a Busch-lite level move to where you could start him day one and go from there.
  14. Thoughts on Shay Whitcomb as a piece of the return? His bad performance in AAA last season knocked him down all prospect lists, but seems to have made some adjustments with dropping his K% to 20%. Plays 3b/SS/2b. Has nothing left to prove at this point in AAA and is ready for his shot. Could stick him at 3b right away and let him finish out the season. There's a world where he's just a AAAA player or bench util guy with pop & speed. Not sure what to think on him, but have been following him for FBB purposes as Eric Cross and Chris Clegg seem to like his bat.
  15. Lance seems to really like his specs.
  16. Anxious to see the return on Randy
  17. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/07/orioles-have-reportedly-shown-interest-in-jameson-taillon.html
  18. I'd love to "Win the offseason" (Like the Rangers a couple years ago, and Dodgers last year) but Jed himself said that's never their goal. I expect more of the same until he proves otherwise.
  19. That's fair if you don't have faith in Jed being able to upgrade - that doesn't mean there's not options/ways he could make it work.
  20. Yea and there's a chance he might not be posted. It was just three quick names. Fried's another option, but lower on the list. It's tough for us GM's on here to know who is truly going to be available or not this off-season. I would kick the tires on someone like Alcantara and see if the Marlins want to dump him after his TJ surgery. At least we'll know in the next 5 days what direction Jed decides to go.
  21. As he mentioned, we’ve been consistent trade partners over the last decade. Tauch would make sense there.
