  1. Yea it seems like Gil is going to be their big trade chip
  2. Agreed. In theory, all of it could be done. BUT it feels like we are playing MLB The Show and not living in reality with the scenarios that would need to happen. e.g. Trading Paredes & Bellinger, landing Tucker, landing a stopgap 3b, getting the SP we need, backend BP arm, RH bench bat, etc.
  3. That's the hope. But at somepoint you have to take the risk. Getting him here is a plus.
  4. Sure. Was more meaning in theory we have more trade chips/assets to make it work. Jed pulling the trigger is another thing.
  5. I know we feel good about being able to beat the Yankees package, but Sherman (Yes, take with a grain of salt) is saying the Astros like Luis Gil. That's a nice piece with 4 years of control if the Yankees do move him.
  6. Sherman with an idea of what Astros are looking for.
  7. If they really turned down a Casas centered deal for one of Woo/Miller, then I don’t see us getting a deal done with them.
  8. Anxious to see terms
  9. Josh Naylor is more likely to get moved now right?
  10. Hawkins reiterating what we’ve discussed -
  11. I've thought about that as well. E.g. what does a world look like with no Belli & Suzuki but + Tucker (And whatever you get back from Suzuki/Belli). It's a lot to take in. I just don't see Jed all of a sudden making multiple blockbuster trades like that.
  12. Ugh, I dislike the Suzuki stuff. Also, horrible timing for this to come out right in the heat of Roki discussions with them sharing the same agent.
  13. Maybe a little less or similar to Soto's last year. Here's a refresher of what the Soto trade was - https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/12/padres-trade-juan-soto-trent-grisham-yankees.html
  14. Finnegan mention
  15. Oblique injury to start the year caused him to miss quite a bit of time and just never got going. Almost all Braves struggled last year
  16. Interesting -
  17. Hey, our old pal the cat is back at it -
  18. Opt out option after 5 years it sounds like
  19. Alright, now let’s get some deals done!
  20. All the big dogs follow him, including Cohen so I’m guessing he has some knowledge.
  21. I think the Dodgers are selling winning and Soto is going for the top $$$$. Looks like 1/$17m for Conforto.
