i mean mets fans haven't had it much better in the 20 years i've been watching baseball, granted, they did have that WS loss and that series that ended on the beltran called 3rd strike. Yeah I don't care. Their suffering pales in comparison to ours (as you know of course). At least they can find tv and radio evidence of their latest World Series victory and can see every one of their 4 (I think) World Series appearances in color the mets are pretty similar to the bears. a world series/super bowl loss relatively recently for the younger generation to enjoy/be sad about, and one of the all-time cool teams in the mid-80s that even non-fans remember fondly and middle aged people can treasure forever. the 85 bears are cooler than the 86 mets, but the mets also have . . . anything else in their history that alive people can remember to point to.
