  7. soler is a real trick or treat defensive right fielder. so much crazy fun stuff (especially the arm but also going to cut stuff off aggressively) but also a decent amount of eeek.

  12. we are going to need a lot more runs tonight
  13. hammel sure likes throwing meatballs every tenth pitch
  14. i was just about to say something to the same effect. he's so emotive back there.

  16. Summarize for someone who was getting pizz..er, nachos and only had radio at that point? basically, teams are way too conservative trying to score on sac flies with one out. your likelihood of scoring with two outs and a man on third just isn't that high (even with rizzo on deck) compared to your odds of scoring from third on a fly ball, even a short fly ball with a slow guy on third. with fowler on third and one out, he should basically always go as long as an outfielder catches it. btw i could swear maddon talked about it which is why im pretty sure he will address it yeah, i think i heard him mention it and then read an article about it somewhere that laid out all the numbers with the base states and everything. it said that runners make it like 90% of the time on sac flies and that was way, way, way too high. can't find the article for the life of me right now, though.

  18. also rizzo might have had one of those whiff hbp strikes if he'd missed that pitch he popped out on
  19. really cool to hear len talking about how you should go crazy trying to score on sac flies with one out. i really wish we could be a smart team and exploit that.
