  1. Yeah, I can't see them meeting much competition. Metallica is taking somebody out. They better...Best band ever! (IMO) And I agree with Goony on this one...
  2. If I give you my cell phone # Hoops, can you call me if this trade goes down? I want to be the first to nab Abreu in my AL only fantasy league. Thanks in advance. What would be the equivalent trade for the Cubs to get in there? Hill, Sing, Dopriak?
  3. I cant stand the White stripes...
  4. Tool is the greatest band of all time, IMO. I am sad to see them end so quickly in this pole.
  5. Casey Jones? From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3a/Casey_Jones.png
  6. I dont know who MOI is, but IMO I think GNR is one of the most over rated bands of all time. Of any musical genre. I know, I am in the extreme minority. Im cool with that.
  7. Pantera was one of the most influential metal bands of all time, IMO. I wish the heavy metal trend followed Pantera more than Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Korn, and all those other rap/metal bands that were so popular. RIP DIME!! Watch it go!
  8. Any AL team that helps my fantasy team win this year. In all seriousness: Mariners - still hung onto the team after Jr left. Indians - young, fun. A's - always in it with players casual fans never heard of. O's, only because of Corey "Lou Brock" Patterson.
  9. Len just read the injury report during the game right now, Woody is questionable for his start on Sunday. Marmol might get the start. Good luck to the kid if he does start, cincy is not the best place to begin a career as a pitcher. On a side note, aren't all of Woody's starts the rest of the year questionable?
  10. 1019 Nathan Sampson r/r ss 6'0" 170-lbs (HS) Ocala Forest
  11. Sounds good to me... So how many games does Bernie Williams get for flipping his helmet back at the umpire in last nights Yanks/Sox game? 1-5 games? Maybe just a fine?
  12. We need more speed! We need more speed! Wheres Jerome Walton when we need him!
  13. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/cs-060508cubscallup,1,1006297.story?coll=cs-cubs-headlines&ctrack=1&cset=true Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce!
  14. Pulled this off the ESPN player page: Player News from ROTOWIRE Apr. 25 News: Pena has a clause in the minor league contract he signed with the Yankees that allows him to become a free agent by May 2nd if the Yankees haven't added him to their active roster, the Booth Newspapers report. Looks like if the Cubs are interested, they are gonna have to wait it out until next week.
  15. Holy Guacamole, Batman. CLSHS can't be more than 3 miles from my house. We definitely gotta beat this boy like a rented mule. !! Fred, we're neighbors...I work in Elgin (passes through Algonquin everyday to work) and live in Crystal Lake. Well, I certainly hope you wave as you're passing through. It's the neighborly thing to do, no? I go fishing out by Elgin and Algonquin all the time. And you don't invite me to go along ??? Not very neighborly, I'd say :( Not to add anything to the thread, just thought Id say Im moving out to Lake in the Hills after I get married next March, so say Hi to me! I will wave, I promise... :P Wheres the best place to fish in the area btw?

  17. When I was 10, I believe. I know I went to a Cubs/Cards game at Wrigley with my parents and some Cards fan told me that I was a little s*!$ for liking the Cubs so much and to switch sides because the Cubs will never win a series. Coincidently that was also when my parents started to hate the Cards. My hatred for the Sox and Mets started when I was born. My grandpa cursed the Mets till the day he died.
  18. I cant belive I missed the first HR call of the year...Stupid MLB Radio.com

  20. It looks like rotowires stuff came from this article that was printed yesterday. http://www.suntimes.com/output/cubs/cst-spt-cub29.html Nothing official yet...
  21. Well, heres rotowire's take. It comes from the Sun times apparently... http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=rotowire-eanarshalleatsuterom&prov=rotowire&type=lgns
  22. Are the guys we got a little old for the leagues they have been in? I know Holdzkom is coming back from Tommy John surgery but should't he be in at least AA?
  23. brinoch wrote: I overheard Len and Bob during the game yesterday saying that very same thing. They say its a definite possiblity considering Lee's injury. We will just have to wait and see what the Cubs brass plans on doing.
