  1. Any updates on this? I listened and the guy they had on there claimed the Cubs have been forbidden to take on more salary because of the impending sale. So basically the opposite of everything we have read. So, who knows? That was just Mike Golic speculating that they wouldnt be able to add any more payroll. He also said Griffey was too much of an injury risk. They quoted Buster Onley (I believe) saying he heard Griffey is telling his "camp" he wouldn't mind a trade to the Cubs. I would love to add his bat to the lineup. Trade Jones, Marshall or Gallagher, low level prospect & Floyd to the Reds for Griffey, who then can turn Floyd over to an team that needs an OF/DH bat (Angels, M's, Dodgers, Phillies) for more (relief!) pitchers. The Reds get Jones, Marshall/Gallagher, and some prospects from Floyd. They are off the hook on the Griffey contract and can trade Jones in the offseason if need be. The NL/AL team gets a good bat whos having a decent season in Floyd. The Cubs get Griffey, bring up Murton & put Gallagher/Marshall in the rotation for the rest of the year. 2. The Hester movie still makes me cry.
  3. Im pretty much in this camp right here with Jersey. As it stands right now, the Cubs are not any better than they were with Barrett. The offense is still the weakness on this team. If they make another trade for a bat, that might make this trade look better. Defense isn't the problem for this team right now, its the offense.
  4. Barrett to the hospital for stiches, they think, according to WGN radio
  5. A McNabb trade (in theory): http://www.philly.com/inquirer/sports/20070520_Incites___A_McNabb_trade__in_theory_.html Just a theory, nothing to back it up. Would anyone think the Bears might be interested in this trade?

  19. I will be on my honeymoon the next 2 weeks so that way I dont want to know how bad I will do this year! Last year was brutal... Stupid George Mason!
  20. I am glad to hear him as well. Good guy, and Im glad he's gotta shot.
  21. 1). The best looking girls sit in the CF bleachers. 2). RF bleachers are for drunks who still scream for Sammy. (j/K). 3). Get there at least when the gates open. The crowds pack in quickly. If you care where you sit (in the first 4 rows) get there early. 4). There is nothing like BP in the bleachers. You can interact with the players (tastefully & they will be very cool to you) and most of the time you can get a BP ball. I have a rare Todd Hundley HR BP ball. Jason Bere also threw me a BP ball, and Vladdy was kind enough to hit one out to me as I was walking to my seating area. 5). Alcohol isn't a mandatory thing, but it is encouraged! 6). Relax and have fun! Bring some sunscreen if you're going in the summer time. Check the wind that day as well.
  22. I count myself as a success this year: 4/10 sec 421/row 6 - 4 tix (magnet schedule - I will now have one for every year since 1999) 7/21 sec 434/row 6 - 2 tix (Zambrano bobble head day) 9/23 Bleachers - 3 tickets (Im probably going to sell these) I may try for one more game but I'm running out of extra funds...LOL
  23. Which hat are you talking about? According to the article the new version of the 5950 won't be available until the end of March. Oops! I guess I shuold have clarified. Its the new BP hat with the new design. That hat is much lighter than the old BP hats, and it fits nicer. Still doesn't beat the 5950 though.
