  1. molina was clearly begging for a walk in that plate appearance. never had any intention of hitting the ball. you can't lay off that pitch.
  2. the ump decides to shrink his zone now. what a tool.
  3. i thought he did rather well considering the ones who've preceded him. His voice was weird. The key to it is putting the mic out to the crowd so they can help to drown out your voice. nobody does it like harry used to, i'm surprised. i mean, at least give the fans the "1-2-3 strikes you're out".
  4. i don't think this is going to be howry's day. he's not keeping the ball down lately.
  5. i thought he did rather well considering the ones who've preceded him.
  6. i liked it better when rolen was hurt. not that i wish him ill, i just wish he'd get a massive case of gasto-interitis right before the cards play us and he'd have to spend the entire series on the can in great pain.
  7. rolen extends his streak to 300 straight hits against the cubs.
  8. finally, we make that tomato can pay for his inability to hit his spots.
  9. he's just throwing to the outside corner and every third pitch drifts back over the inner third. we need to wait for it and look for it.
  10. HE KEEPS MISSING HIS SPOTS WITHOUT ANYTHING HAPPENING!!!!!!!!
  11. yeah, right johnniecakes, "the cubs are built for days like today". doesn't look like it.
  12. He isn't picking up that it was a slider and not the fastball. He would've been able to lay off both his strikeouts if he could. no, he's been laying off that obviously outisde pitch, but it's being called. he can't not swing at it. the ump is screwing him. But both those pitches bit into the dirt, neither would've been called strikes. no, but he's obviously frustrated with how the game is being called. wainright isn't this good for the love of Christ.

  14. ronny had no choice but to swing at that. the ump is calling it 8 inches off the plate. that second pitch was juicy, though.
  15. get it right, hill's homer hit the roof of the building. sammy broke a window or 2 in his day, though. Remember when he tried to call time out to tie his shoe in Florida? The request wasn't granted and he literally runs back to the batters box, flops out the bat, and donks one into RF. Oh, that Glenallen. i remember him hitting a huge walkoff in 98 agisnt john franco and just dropping the bat like a toothpick.
  16. No, not really. Yes...really. eyre was mediocre last year and got lucky in regards to ERA. he was worse than he looked.
