that's the most unbelievable thing i've ever seen. lou has lost any kind of respect that i've ever had for him. i hope wuertz comes in and walks 8 more.
the brewers announcers, despite at least one of them having played professional baseball, appear to have learned all they know about baseball fr om the movie major league. all centerfielders with speed should hit the ball on the ground. the notion that anyone should try to hit the ball on the ground is just absurd.
Not completely. Part of SLG's value is that it advances other runners. We'd have to add some weighted version. and then you have to weight your obp because singles advance runners farther than walks. you see? there's a give and take to it all.
I wish he'd stop doing all manner of stupid crap around 2nd base to keep costing the Cubs runs. he's still having a pretty good year at the plate. Take away his outs on the basepaths and caught stealings from his OBP and I wonder where he'd be. then you have to add his successes to his slg to be fair. and how exactly are they overrating him?
wait, people are wishing injury on theriot? that's unbelievable. besides the fact that it's morally reprehensible, he's not having that bad of a year, although i wish he'd stop trying to inside-out everything when there's a runner on base.
freaking corey hart, they say he's made outs against us, but i don't remember any of them. just make an out, you do it all the time against other teams. he's one of those guys i would peg every time up just for being himself.
who also plays on sundays and torched the bears for 100 yards rushing and receiving. we're all going to see why thomas and mendenhall shared carries at illinois. We probably won't. Peirre racked up the yards because the Bears were crushing the Saints and were content to let them dump the ball off all game. He's a solid player but he's probably not going to get a whole lot of playing time this year. there's really an excuse for anyone racking up yards in any game. but thomas put on one of the best performances of anyone all year in that game.
