  1. that's the most unbelievable thing i've ever seen. lou has lost any kind of respect that i've ever had for him. i hope wuertz comes in and walks 8 more.
  2. the brewers announcers, despite at least one of them having played professional baseball, appear to have learned all they know about baseball fr om the movie major league. all centerfielders with speed should hit the ball on the ground. the notion that anyone should try to hit the ball on the ground is just absurd.
  3. why hasn't braun been hit, yet? yeah, fielder hits behind him, but i still expect him to be punished.
  4. and they've broken it open. these brewers will be the end of us, they're too good.
  5. the brewers walk and they score runs, we walk and leave them out there. typical.
  6. Not completely. Part of SLG's value is that it advances other runners. We'd have to add some weighted version. and then you have to weight your obp because singles advance runners farther than walks. you see? there's a give and take to it all.
  7. I wish he'd stop doing all manner of stupid crap around 2nd base to keep costing the Cubs runs. he's still having a pretty good year at the plate. Take away his outs on the basepaths and caught stealings from his OBP and I wonder where he'd be. then you have to add his successes to his slg to be fair. and how exactly are they overrating him?
  8. I wouldn't be remotely surprised if we beat them tonight. We beat them last game we played for what that's worth. shut up, i wasn't talking to you.

  10. wait, people are wishing injury on theriot? that's unbelievable. besides the fact that it's morally reprehensible, he's not having that bad of a year, although i wish he'd stop trying to inside-out everything when there's a runner on base.
  11. he's derrek lee, he can swing at any pitch he wants to. i don't think you tell him to work the count.
  12. i don't think we'll ever beat the brewers.
  13. he was in there. i hate him, but he was.
  14. freaking corey hart, they say he's made outs against us, but i don't remember any of them. just make an out, you do it all the time against other teams. he's one of those guys i would peg every time up just for being himself.
  15. we hit the ball hard to right, hart gets everything. they hit the ball to right, and a clearly better right fielder is nowhere to be found. that's bs.
  16. who also plays on sundays and torched the bears for 100 yards rushing and receiving. we're all going to see why thomas and mendenhall shared carries at illinois. We probably won't. Peirre racked up the yards because the Bears were crushing the Saints and were content to let them dump the ball off all game. He's a solid player but he's probably not going to get a whole lot of playing time this year. there's really an excuse for anyone racking up yards in any game. but thomas put on one of the best performances of anyone all year in that game.

  18. we're going to win this game, though. i'm still confident.
  19. i think the starting guards will be 2 of garza/metcalf/beekman.
  20. it wasn't so much that his numbers were bad, but his workouts were. he was very inaccurate.
  21. Brennan here we come blech. I love being FORCED into a QB pick johnson and brennan have the same exact release, it's uncanny.
  22. there goes ainge.
  23. it's a shame that martin o'donnell chose to not pursue a pro career, he'd be absolutely perfect for the bears.
