i like woodson, too. he's still in freefall, though. he could land anywhere, the combine lost him a fortune.

i thought steltz was rather physical. He looks more physical than he is. At 6'1", 210lbs, I expect a thumper. He's far from that. Again, he' won't shy away from contact, but he's not an Adam Archuleta type hitter. Using players we know as Bears fans.....he's similar to Chris Harris in speed, coverage ability, and instincts. Probably a surer tackler than DManning, but similar lack of thump when making a hit. haha, Adam sure hits hard, but he was terrible last year. adam hasn't hit hard in years.

Booty or Johnson, I hope we don't even touch Dixon or Brennan with a 10 foot pole. dixon, no. i wouldn't be upset with brennan, though. Reverse this for me. Brennan really brings nothing to the table. i think dixon's release is the worst thing i've ever seen. i don't think he projects as a qb at all. then again, brennan's release isn't a thing of beauty, either. I'd be worried about Brennan throwing a 10 yard cross in a 5 mph breeze. good thing we play at least 2 dome games a year, then. haha.

You've shown a few hits. Granted, this one caused internal bleeding...... yeah, but you're saying that he doesn't generate enough power behind his hits. i think these few examples show that he is more than capable of being a big hitter. just saying that i don't need to show a ton of examples to show his ability to hit.

could steltz play a little sam? it would give us flexibility in perhaps disguising some coverages.

Tommie Harris > Glen Dorsey. Harris, when healthy, is one of the best players in the NFL. true, but i think dorsey projects very well.

Not very similar at all. Leaf had a quick release. Leftwich could read defenses, was better in the pocket and just about everywhere else except for release time. both big guys with big arms and no pocket presence.

4.35 speed to add to special teams? yeah, it sounds like the bears could use him on kickoff coverage.

i'd compare leftwich to a calmer ryan leaf, though.

i don't like john david booty. besides the fact that he has a slow release and virtually no ability to avoid a rush, his name sounds like he should be in jail or something. i'd take brennan or woodson. Brennan and Woodson are horrible. Don't like either. Brennan is a smaller, lesser talented Rex Grossman. Woodson is a faster, lesser talented version of Byron Leftwich.....the one now, not the one drafted a few years ago before the major surgeries. i wouldn't compare woodson to leftwich at all. i don't know who i'd compare him to, but he threw for a lot of yards and touchdowns in the sec.
