  1. dream on. not even close. that's 11 innings and counting. what's the ml record for going scoreless? one more of these and i'm playing gta4
  2. I believe we can score, just not on the road. have the cubs hit homer uns ever, either? i can't remember any, maybe edmonds one time.
  3. i told you, we won't ever be able to finish the deal again. i;ll believe that we can score when i see it.
  4. the cubs have hit into a dp every single time they've gotten a runner on over the last week, i swear.
  5. i can't envision a scenarion in which we score ever again.
  6. i really really hope we're not planning on hovering around 15-20 over and expecting to win the division or the wc.
  7. i was unde the impression that this game started at 8:05. i was like, why are they taking their sweet-time getting this one started?
  8. what a selfless act it is to sacrifice his own dream of winning a superbowl for a virtual feather in his cap. i really hope this new contract assures his continued cooperation with the media and openness with the fans who have helped make him the face of the bears franchise. he's such a thoughtful person, kudos to you, brian, you steaming pile of excrement. i hope age doesn't begin to restrict your amazing ability to shed blocks. I semi agree with this post I don't really agree with any of it. Brian doesn't appear to be an enlightened person, but he doesn't seem to be much of a bad guy either. He's ruined his own marriage and made a baby or two with a stranger, but it appears he's holding up his end of the bargain with those situations. I don't recall him getting into any meaningful trouble. I don't give a crap about his openness with the media or fans. He's been an elite player with the Bears for several years, and has only been slowed by the occasional injury, while playing probably one of the two most physically punishing positions in the game (RB being the most). i'd like a meaningful sound bite from him once in a while, other than a surly "yes", "no", or "i don't know". that's not simply being an un-"enlightened person", that's being intentionally disrespectful to the people who help pay his salary. i couldn't care less about his ruined marriage or his trail of illegitimate children. but, i don't like that fact that he tried to hold the franchise hostage after he volunteered to restructure his contract in order to re-sign briggs. it makes me think that he's given up on the team's success and wants to smash and grab whatever he can before he can't play anymore.
  9. not sure about 1st half, but they were 2 back of their pythag entering tonight so, the first half wasn't a fluke? brewers are 3 games better than theirs, cardinals 4 games better. but no, Cubs are the fluke (based on 3 games) apparently.

  11. isn't the moro reflex the monkey reflex? yeah, grabbing things put in the hand. She puts her hand behind her head, grabs her hair, gets angry, flails around, and gets angrier because someone's pulling her hair i thought it had to do with falling backwards. babies grab blindly if they sense themselves falling backwards. i still think that adults get this reflex sometimes when on the brink of sleep and suddenly jolted awake. It's quite possible I mixed up my reflexes and screwed up. Anyway, she's pulling her hair even with mittens on poor kid. does she have a lot of hair?

  14. you can never, ever blame a cub fan for pushing the panic button.
  15. please, your team has won a world series in the last 100 years, don't insult us by implying that you know what screwing up really means.
  16. I believe his career numbers against the cubs are something along the lines of 11-2 with a 1.98 ERA we've never beaten him, and i can remember watching him baffle us as an expo.
  17. i could see lou letting rich chase a no-hitter into th 120 pitch realm.
  18. the bats are firmly planted on their shoulders.
  19. doesn't matter who we have on the team, we'll never beat the unit.
  20. love those 1-pitch ABs after a couple of strikeouts.
