i do have fond memories of watching richie sexson's shoulder pop out of socket on a check swing the night after he hit the scoreboard with ball the night before. that's really the only good memory i have of playing the dbacks in arizona.

That's a good fit for the Illinois offense. I know Mizzou was after him too, but the Illini offense is probably a better fit, and he'd have fewer guys in between him and playing time. Terry Hawthorne, a WR from East St. Louis(Rivals 18th best WR, Scout 57th), also committed to U of I this weekend. i don't know, i think charest is a major obstacle for scheelhaase, although i'm blown away by what he looks like on the field as compared to charest. hawthorne is good, but we really want appleton. I'm pretty bummed about ScheelHaase. He was exactly the recruit we need to turn a good recruiting class into a national ranked one. No question about it, that Zook can recruit. i think scheelhaase has a chance to be a 4-year starter, if he can beat out charest. dual threat with a big-time arm, his tapes remind me of mcnabb in high school. i have to say it, mostly because the tigers are so happy with their qb haul. but i've heard a couple of big 12 people, including missouri fans, say that scheelhaase is better than either of the blaines. sorry tt. :P

honestly, most pitchers throw him junk and get him out. the ones dumb enough to throw him heaters get burned. i bet that he hasn't hit a breaking ball all year. i can't see him lasting at the ml level.

He's also sometimes good for being made to look totally silly. actually, that's most of the time.

you're entitled to your opinion, but understand this: soriano was huge part of the team's first half success. i have no idea why you'd "hate" him. seems like a strong term for a player that's been very valuable to the team.

You're right. It's terrible to have a ~.900ish OPS batting first and getting the most PAs on the team. this is exactly right.

this only happens to the cubs. you've seen it your whole life, i've seen it mine. strange things happen and they're always always always bad.

Why do you care about sound bites? And how many sound bites provided by others are actually meaningful? The guys that talk the most have nothing to say. I don't care what Urlacher thinks about the world, I just want him to play football well enough to help the Bears win games. I don't think anybody can reasonably call what he did as holding the team hostage. as the face of the franchise, he has an obligation to the fans to give them something. i don't care what it is, just don't go out there and be an ass. say something canned for all i care, just don't comport yourself like a fool and embarass the franchise. i think it unreasonable to be so surprised that someone would take offense at his boorish actions toward a city that's done nothing but support him and make him it's poster boy. if he's going to be an ass, he should play better than he did last year.

Good idea on dealing with your anger. :lol: What's your %? I just beat the story mode. i haven't played single player in a week. i just won my first ranked deathmatch with a full roster, though. i'm addicted to online play.
