  1. the packers offense is about as unknown as it gets. the vikings have a great player and a great line. jackson just needs to not blow it, and i don't think the staff will let him.
  2. blaming the refs already, are we? I wouldn't be surprised in the least if this US team doesn't win gold. They've been embarrassed in international play more than once in the past. Losing to an "inferior" team would not be unprecedented. i would be surprised, frankly. there is no "" about it, the US is a far better team than anyone in this tournament and it would take a very lucky and conversely, poor effort for anyone to beat them. But couldn't you say that about the other "Dream Teams" that lost in the past? not really, i wouldn't say that i expected the gold in 2004.
  3. hate? no. indifferent? yes. that said, the US is going to have a tough time pulling away if they keep pretending to the the Harlem Globetrotters here. How many turnovers in this game on circus plays? as I'm typing this, they're up to 17 point lead again, so what do I know  you make a lot of posts about them to be indifferent.

  5. gutierrez, a guy who looks like he should be playing in the special olympics, cleanly blocks an anthony 3 pointer as time expires, but gets called for the foul. there are like a few guys in the world who should be able to do that and some dude from off the streets, who rarely sees the light of day for the argentines, blocks the shot of one of the top players in the world. it must be nice having christmas in august. these guys sold something to someone to be able to play like this. 9 point lead at half.
  6. and it's six points while the best player in the world gets stripped by some big dumb slow guy while going to the hole. sure.
  7. unbelievable, 16-3 run for argentina. we're going to lose to these glorified thugs
  8. about to cut it to 10.
  9. back comes argentina. getting exteremely lucky with every bounce of the ball. 12 point lead.
  10. noc with a lucky 3 as the first quarter draws to a close.
  11. kidd is a liability out there. and why do the argentine's all have italian last names? i'm not familiar with the ethnic demographical history of argentia.
  12. if nocioni plays and hurts himself even more, the bulls should be able to void his contract.
  13. the bears have a great core of players. what sucks is that none of them are offensive players, unless you count hester. Their time has passed though. This one was once a great core on the defensive side, now it's a declining core of players. i would argue that only urlacher is declining, 2 if you count brown. the others are in their prime. Harris hasn't been the same either and very shortly both DEs will start to regress. to be fair, i wasn't counting either de as a core player. this team's core consists of harris, urlacher, briggs, tillman, vasher, and hester. possibly brown, he's getting older, but his injuries have actually saved some wear-and-tear on his body the past few years. the others players should be interchangeable. with that group, the de's and safeties should be able to have a measure of success.
  14. switch the vikings with the packers, along with the records, and you've got it. oh, and the bears will never finish 6-10, that's way too optimistic. 4-12, i think.

  16. This gem from the guy complaining about a silent protest supposedly causing violence. it's not violence if they deserve it, i guess?

  18. he's made some bad throws tonights, though.
  19. rex gets hit before he gets the snap and then gets booed, the very definition of meatball.
  20. that was the unluckiest match that i've ever seen. especially the last 10 minutes, the us girls were just walking around while brazil was bombarding the keeper. i'm not saying that they didn't try, they did for most of the game, but they got extremely lucky. they were outplayed in every facet, they weren't as skilled and they obviously weren't as fit. God must be pissed at the brazilians for only having first names or something.
  21. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,407803,00.html that girl's name makes the whole article confusing.
  22. wait, marvell wynne's kid plays soccer for the us? that's so unbelievably awesome i can't describe it. marvell "what would you say you DO here?" wynne sr.
  23. GIS laure manaudou and see what you come up with. actually, a simple search will do. btw- frederica pellegrini, hot hot hot.
  24. i've been searching the web for the french announcer's call on the 4x100 free relay. i've heard it's glorious. apparently, it was pulled off of youtube and the other links i've tried once i found them don't work. i think that the french have tried to erase the race from their history. at the turn, one of them says "on va gagner! on va gagner!" it ends with him screaming "c'est pas possible! c'est pas possible!"
