In his start against the Cubs he allowed 11 baserunners. That's "automatic"? In the start against Colorado, he allowed 10 baseunners in 6 innings. That's "automatic"?. The fact is, the only time he's been great against a good offense was in St Louis. The rest of his dominant performances have come against some brutal offensive teams. So yeah, he's automatic....if he's facing a crappy team or if you call 11 baserunners in 6 innings "automatic". Sabathia is great. He's nowhere near automatic. i think greco-roman wrestling has, by far, the most idiotic and confusing scoring system. how can you lose if you're winning at the end of a period? i've seen this twice.

True, but if there are going to be judged competitions, have an analyst in there that understands the nuances of the sport and can explain the judging results better than "X had a fall and a step on the dismount, but Y had just the step on the dismount, but somehow X's score was higher and I don't like it." i think they explained it very well. the chinese had insanely high degrees of difficulty.

well, he's been automatic in the fact that he hasn't given up more than 3 runs in any of his brewer starts and has 2 complete game shutouts, something that we haven't done all year. so yeah, he's been more automatic than any of our aces, i guess.
