I'm kinda rooting for Indiana in this game. It's a weird feeling. i totally am, and it is weird.

I think right now they are pretty good, but the salary cap is going to bite them hard in the next several years. Also, I wouldnt put that much stock in Melrose. regardless of the salary cap situiation, which i think will be handled by next season, they have their stars locked up for a long time and will have players ready to take the places of the guys they're going to lose, not to mention the draft picks that they'll be getting in trades.

melrose called the blackhawks the best franchise the NHL: right now. a pretty amazing perception after the last 15 years of being the worst.

the coach is only part of it, this team is bad. the good news is that it's in a great position to snag a big-time free agent if someone pays attention. i also think there's little to no excuse for not dealing tyrus for al harrington if harrington's available.

If they'd thrown a pass to him there, I think you could convince everyone of your "the universe is out to get you" theory. Especially after the Illinois game the universe isn't out to get me per se, it's just out to ruin my sports life.
