  1. He may also just want one more shot at a championship at his age, which could mean he'd settle for less money. Shooting is a skill that ages pretty well, and he'd be a huge boost if he could give the Bulls 25-30 decent minutes a night. If this LeBron thing actually happens, I'd think Allen would certainly think about coming to Chicago. I think mock lineups are ridiculous most of the time, but I can't help myself... PG- Rose SG- Allen SF- LeBron PF- Gibson (or even Deng, depending on matchups) C- Noah That team wins 60 games sleepwalking. i don't see how any team can hope to guard lebron AND rose while simultaneously covering a shooter like ray allen. allen would put up the best numbers of his career without even having to dribble all year long.
  2. no, it's obviously because the cavs are the best team in the east without lebron and lebron is still God and everything about the team is the greatest and don't say anything negative about them at all or be flamed by the cult of lebron/featuring the great cavaliers.
  3. lebron, as a player, is the second coming of oscar robertson. only nobody here is old enough to remember what oscar robertson looked like. but, let's stop comparing him to mj. if he ever gets the competitive drive of mj, he'll win as many or more titles, but i don't think it's happening.
  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1988_NBA_Playoffs#Eastern_Conference Game 3 @ Chicago: Detroit 101, Chicago 79 Game 4 @ Chicago: Detroit 96, Chicago 77 Exact same age as LeBron too. i'm not a jordan apologist, because i think pippen was huge in those championship years, but detroit, was an overwhelming favorite and on their way to the finals, and then back-to-back championships in the following years. in this case, as well as the year before, the cavs are the overwhelming favorites getting punked at home. not to mention, James has been 27 since he stepped onto an NBA court. he's going to need another superstar. Of course Pippen was huge, he's like a top 15 player of all time. But in '88 he sure wasn't. LeBron has a ton of talent around him right now too and he still isn't going to get it done. BUT BUT BUT BUT THEY'RE THE SAME AGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. He would have to find him first. oh snap i wonder what lebron's mom told him about his dad growing up. maybe that he was in the peace corp and the he died in the desert

  7. nah, rose will have the stones to stick it in.
  8. wait a couple days, will you?
  9. okay Dex, you continue being the reverse jinx until they lose, then it's my turn again.
  10. yeah, if we're spending a max deal on someone, it better not be just a good player.
  11. kevin mchale is a giant turd
  12. henry and egwu are acc athletic and long. i was wrong about egwu, he isn't going to be a project, he's going to contribute from game 1. the guy is a monster in the middle on defense, which is just what bruce likes. now, i don't care if we get thompson. fill this thing out with shaw, who is very good friends with henry, and would anthony davis be too much to hope for? abrams henry egwu shaw davis that's a fab 5 right there.
  13. this guy is going to be huge
  14. i just think that vancouver is a better team and we got lucky the last 3 games.
  15. no chance at all tonight. luongo is going on a roll.
  16. he ain't giving up a soft goal tonight and he's not giving up a goal tonight. 5-0 canucks in this one, chelsea dagger does not play.
  17. well, it was very unlikely that luongo would shut us out through 2, as well.
  18. well, anyway you look at it, it's going to take a miracle for us to come back and win this game.
  19. Then it's fortunate for the Hawks to be really good in Canada then. There is less then 5% chance of Vancouver winning this series. We ain't Ovechkin and Washington, the Hawks ain't choking this series away. this is a chicago team we're talking about, they could very easily choke it away.
  20. Easy there, chief. this series could easily turn, and it would be talked about forever. Hawks have lost 3 in a row only three times this year (March 25/28/30, March 13/14/17, Jan 30, Feb 3/5). So while it is a possibility that Vancouver can win 3 in a row, the Hawks are something like 6-1 in Canada including 3-1 in Vancouver (including the playoffs). So eve if the Nucks win tonight, and I am hoping the Hawks come back to win, my money is on the series ending in 6. the 03 cubs hadn't lost 3 in a row all season long.
  21. got lucky it's not 4-0 i have this vision of luongo shutting us out 3 games in a row. vancouver is going to be jumping for game 6.
