  1. can anyone explain to me what the significance of pomeroy's ORtg separating go to guys from major contributors from significant contributors? are they on different rating scales? dmac is ranked 116 (125.1) in the 24%-28% of possessions used category while jordan taylor is ranked 112 (125.3) in the significant contributors category 20%-24% of possessions used. does that mean jordan taylor is ranked ahead of dmac or are they being judged on different scaled because of the % of possessions used?
  2. chuck tinsley you mean.
  3. top 5 player, no doubt.
  4. it really takes a lot of effort to cross-reference and scrutinize the actual point-by-point scoring in those games, but i think he's really good against teams that beat iu by a lot.
  5. wasn't he promised the keys to the kingdom at texas?
  6. i think you would have seen creek really flash his skills if indiana would have been losing by 20+ for most of the game, it really would have been his time to shine! Creek has lost 5 games in his Indiana career by 10 points or more and I'm pretty sure that in each of those games he played at least as well if not better when the game was close. Just thought I would discount that before somebody actually believed you and repeated it! he also plays really well against teams named north carolina central but not always. 18, 19, 31, 15, 5 in the games lost by 10 or more points. and the last one wasn't really indicative of the score, it was a close game. in thos other games, it was obviously CREEK-TIME!

  8. not a big fan of indiana, but beat kentucky, you fools.
  9. haha, because tennessee doesn't know how to make a program
  10. and how are they going to create cap room for that? philly wants an expiring contract or contracts, they think they have a shot at carmelo and they will not take back deng.
  11. yes, indeed. the cherry on top of a very very nice class.
  12. here they come, nothing going down.
  13. derrick rose is one of the world's 10 most dangerous animals.
  14. no foul on that sequence? seriously?
  15. coaches have got to stop granting an audience to parents concerning playing time. this is college and this is big money, if your kid isn't good enough, he's not gonna play.
  16. good. i don't feel comfortable going into a week expecting to win, it's never good.
  17. But that is exactly how New England operates their offense. The Bears won't be "making them" do anything. well, then, they'll play right into our hands.
  18. i think the bears defense is a good matchup for the new england offense. if they're going to get a bunch of yards, might as well make them run a ton of plays and risk a bunch of turnovers to do it.
  19. if it's expected it's impossible not to feel forced.
  20. i thought i blew that one up pretty good, homie
  21. kansas is kansas because kansas does things that pretty much only kansas does and kansas alumni and kansas fans and the kansas administration don't give a kansas-[expletive] if their kansas-ass program sends ninjas to kill their potential recruits and every single person said recruits know and love and replaces them with pod people or robots or whatever. kansas has gotta be kansas on the basketball court and that's all that matters in kansas and to kansas and [expletive] the rules. [expletive] kansas animals, BE HUMAN BEINGS FOR ONCE IN YOUR [expletive] LIVES! oh yeah, and [expletive] webber because there is no webber except chris webber who probably made more money playing college basketball than anyone that kansas ever recruited.
  22. you'd almost have to hire jerrance howard or it's back to the drawing board in regards to recruiting. and since illinois doesn't cheat nor would cheating be tolerated by the administration, alumni, or fans, it would be a long, painful climb back to respectability. this whole conversation is absurd. people calling for bruce's job don't understand how hard he's worked to get highly-ranked, smart, honest kids to come to illinois and likely take for granted the 2011 recruiting class. newsflash, that class would be gone and we'd be scrambling to hit up 2 star talent. i ain't goin back there, brother, i ain't goin back to the days of stan simpson or nuthin, and i won't watch if we sell our souls to become kentucky or kansas. the guys who want bruce gone are crazy.
  23. you're right in that they can't play the safeties deep, absolutely cannot. brady will murder the soft spots on either sideline. i'm not afraid of being beaten deep like i was with the eagles, the new england receivers are small and slow and great route runners, but great route running can be minimalized in the tampa-2 zone coverage. you have to shrink the zone and ballhawk the hell out those weak spots, you have to bait them and hope you can take the ball away a few times. as far as the offense, martz is going to have to come out in max protect and try to get jay into a 7-step drop so he can stretch and spread the field and match our speed guys up against their inferior defensive backfield, try to create one-on-one matchups. apart from that, we shouldn't get too cute with how we prepare for the game. just try to do what we've been doing and if they beat us, they beat us. make this game about players and individual matchups rather than allowing their scheming and synergy to dictate the game. i think we play well against the 3-4, so we got that going for us.
