  1. this cannot happen again, it absolutely cannot happen again. why? why? why?
  2. only my teams. i fear for the bears
  3. the refs would have never called that out of bounds on the powerhouse uic
  4. i'd like my team to celebrate once, just once.
  5. i hope that the ncaa reviews that play that paul was injured on and sees the handful of jersey and fires every single one of these refs, every single one for their ungentlemanly behavior.
  6. only my teams.
  7. only my teams.
  8. paul gets hammered, no call. williams gets stripped on the other end and you know it. what the [expletive] is up with the refs? they are supposed to give us the benefit of the doubt.
  9. not getting any bounces off the rim at all.
  10. what on earth does davis do here?
  11. this is really going to impress recruits.
  12. lol, we're gonna lose this game.
  13. wisconsin-brand basketball is the absolute [expletive] worst.
  14. the illini are terrible right now. wake up you idiots.
  15. robo effin kreps. they'll start missing.
  16. Given how miserable that franchise is with no hope in sight, I could very well see us with a top 3 pick come 2016. They're just one of those teams that probably will always be bad...especially with Elgin Baylor Part II in charge. ah, i thought it was next year.
  17. is the pick protected? the bulls could conceivably end up with terrence jones next year if it's not and they keep it.
  18. once tennessee realizes that winning at all costs doesn't necessarily mean winning, they may rethink their stance on retaining one of the biggest cheaters in ncaa history.
  19. lol, pearl loses another one. this time to charlotte.
  20. i disagree, he's most identified with the blackhawks. he actually played longer in detoit i think and had more success in both montreal and detroit. but he's a chicago boy. this isn't like the idiot avalanche retiring ray bourque's number.
  21. i hate detroit, their defensive stick-work is annoying.
  22. the names should alternate. the division of the team that wins the conference championship should be the "dogg-dre" division, the loser's should be the "bitch named sadie" division.
  23. home runs and other extra-base hits are considerably more damaging than walks, being worth more bases and generally being run-producing. garza has youth and recent durability over zambrano and that's about it. but both are young.
  24. Really? I am in the middle. On one hand it puts a dome team where it's most comfortable - in a dome. On the other the Bears don't necessarily seem like a team that thrives in the elements, so a dome might not be the worst thing ever. The Bears are not a cold weather team like the name/city suggests. But I'd take the Bears chances in cold weather vs. any team that plays in a dome or South Florida/Southern CA. Bear weather obviously isn't real, but Lovie's Bears have had some huge performances in crappy cold conditions. Last year's Vikings game, the conference championship and late 2007 and 2008 games against the Saints. Another 2008 game against Jacksonville. And the 2007 blowout of Favre's Packers. They also had some big wins in late 2005. I do think it's mostly about getting dome/warm teams out of their elements, but also getting Favre outside in the cold. i think it depends upon the field conditions and how adept teams are at exploiting their pursuit defense.
  25. He's younger, healthier and not crazy? but z is much better. this whole trade z movememnet upsets me greatly. he's never gone near 100 in terms of era+. I don't know how you can argue that Z is better. Garza just put up 3 consecutive WHIPS of roughly 1.25 in the AL East; Zambrano hasn't done that in 5 years in the NL Central. how can i argue? whip, really? all that means is that zambrano walks more hitters. the success of each pitcher in not giving up actual runs, along with slga would point to the fact that garza gets hit harder. holy crap, in 2006 zambrano posted a 1.15 whip and walked 115 hitters. that's pretty impressive. as far as last season goes, teams ops'd .678 against him, and slugged .333. he also only posted a slga at .700 once in his career, and that was .701. garza was at .723 last year. not to mention the era+ numbers in which zambrano is consistently superior. so, yeah, zambrano is pretty clearly a better pitcher.
