  1. does e like lebron james? because he's pretty much all physicality and no aesthetics. he's also the most duck-footed person in the nba.
  2. i thought it was hilarious
  3. Together they're making over $44 million this year, so $30 million in 2012 is a reasonable estimate. :-k except buehrle and fielder will probably make 44 mil between them next year, unless ramirez wants to pay the cards 14 mil to play for them, it's probably going to cost over 50 mil. throw in matt holliday and it's costing probably around 70 mil for 4 players.
  4. singletary is taking notes.
  5. Are you serious? i don't understand the question. We have one of the biggest home court advantages in the country, and have regularly benefited from it. no, we don't. in terms of refereeing, anyways. but the assembly hall needs to go, go far away. it's one of the worst arenas in high major college basketball.
  6. Yeah, because the Bears making it to the NFC championship when they weren't expected to make the playoffs was a big disappointment. The Bulls are an elite team, and the Hawks won the cup last year. Give it a rest. But yeah, the Illini season is turning out be a real [expletive]. This season has gone the opposite of how I expected (to start out slow and gel as the year progressed). All of the strengths have turned to weaknesses, and the team looks a mess. Totally beat ourselves tonight with our comical inability to finish. the bears season turned out to be a worst case scenario. don't get me wrong, i enjoyed it and prefer it to not making the playoffs, but if you think that it wasn't extremely painful at the end, you aren't a bears fan. the hawks are bad, the cubs were bad and will be bad, and like i said, i'm waiting for an inevitable bulls disaster. The end for the Bears sucked hard, but to categorize the whole season as disastrous because of it is just being a drama queen. and if the cubs wouldn't have played in game 6 of the nlcs in 2003, i'd be a normal fan. that was like a knife in the gut, as was the nfc championship and the superbowl. like i isaid, it was an entertaining season, i enjoyed it, but it couldn't have ended any worse than it did. i seriously wish a miracle like that would happen for one of my teams.

  9. and THAT'S what i call home court advantage, btw. wish we had something like that.
  10. disastrous seasons all around for all of my teams except the bulls, who will probably blow a 3 game lead in the finals.
  11. the last shot wasn't a 3 and wouldn't have held up upon review.
  12. i hope i get to try out my new victory song tonight
  13. ONLY MY TEAMS Seriously though, thank god. Just win at home against Iowa and Indiana and everything's fine. That might get us in, but everything is certainly not fine. awesome vid...shot at one of my fave spots in town, station inn...you can see david rawlings jamming out with them in that video. i need to go there
  14. I never said that, but I think comments like this show that certain posters here are. i'm still glad that they didn't split the conference up into divisions and put iu and pu in the same one, that would have been really unfair.

  16. There are some easy Lickliter jokes or quotes to use there about team/individual/spirit. You can't be too young to remember Jaacks, his senior year was Alford's first year. I always assumed you were in my age range (mid-late 20's). Yeah, [expletive]. I remember Jaacks and I'm not old like you (SSR) was it that long ago? lol i remember him just for his crappy name and hooligan playing style.
  17. I can't imagine the Bears refusing permission. I thought it's always been standard courtesy to allow a coach to leave for another team if the position would be a promotion. If it would be a lateral move that would be another story. the packers said no to clements interviewing with the bears last offseason.
  18. i'm willing to relent on this weber thing. i think as long as they keep howard on staff, they keep the recruits. even the players who were not his love him. but you'll need to make a big splash and bring in a huge name. illiniguy said anthony grant and i've heard it before. well, that may be nice. but like i said, anything less than dixon/wright caliber and i'm disappointed.
  19. and goodbye mccamey, bring on tracy abrams.
  20. goodbye purdue, don't lose in the first or second round again and i hope a two star prospect from champaign does a great job for you
  21. NO FOUL???????? YOU CHICKENSHIT PUKES
  22. i predict on the next pay that purdue will kick the ball 8 times and then get a dunk.
  23. Why is that? Because Indiana has all the good players from Indiana committed while Purdue is settling for projects from Champaign JAY SIMPSON IS A BEAST
