  1. I dont' know what to think about Lemon at this point. I wish I could actually watch a game. He may be pretty decent. Dolphins aren't bad enough to be 0-7. I don't know what to root for at this point: more losing and better draft picks? Better overall performance to build into next year? I don't know.
  2. Looked like a sprained knee. He was rolling around a bit, but left the field under his own power. Didn't look too bad, imo. It had better not be.
  3. And now it's Patrick Cobbs. WHAT'S WRONG WITH RONNIE?!
  4. Why is Jesse Chatman getting all the carries? DON'T TELL ME RONNIE BROWN IS HURT.
  5. If Florida International ever played the Wolverines, the game would be FlInt-Michigan.
  6. Ronnie Brown is awesome. The Dolphins secondary is awful, and it really shouldn't be.
  7. :o Incompletion madness is spreading! Brady just threw two straight! The last five passes have been incomplete now.
  8. And now Cleo Lemon has thrown six straight incompletions. I wonder how long before the John Beck era begins.
  9. Ah, Lemon just threw threeo straight incompletions to pop this game's incompletion cherry.
  10. 5 minutes into the second quarter and there hasn't been an incompletion yet.
  11. It sure is fun being a Dolphins fan. Masterful drive against the Patriots, and the ensuing kickoff is returned for a touchdown. With the Cubs, the Lakers, the Arkansas football team, and the Dolphins on my side, I should just quit sports for a year.
  12. I would love some background on Yu Darvish, because that is so not a Japanese surname.

  14. ...I can't believe what I just saw in the LSU/Auburn game.
  15. man, ticky-tack.
  16. To be fair, I hear Goldberg was a lot politer out of the ring.
  17. At least 2? He only really had 2006. If that's your argument, why should Theriot get another shot? Because he helped the team to the playoffs and he didn't suck. Technically, any player who was on the team "helped the team to the playoffs," but in realiity, his biggest contribution was not being Cesar Izturis.
  18. He didn't do anything to keep his job, either. He was a shade below average in the field and well below average with the bat. The Cubs have a league average offense. With regards to potential improvement, he is a weak link. There really is no other logical way to look at it, unless you think he can make tremendous improvement at age 28 to a level he hasn't reached as a professional.
  19. Mmm, stat-k-bobs. And fielding percentage is a largely useless stat. Not completely, but it doesn't really tell you much about how good defensively a player is at all. We're talking abouta 5ish percent deviation between the very best and the very worst, when there is a much larger difference other aspects of fielding such as range.
  20. Enough production from other positions. Where are you getting this nonsense from? The Cubs were 8th in the NL in runs. There are 16 NL teams. That puts them close to dead center. Explain to me how middle of the pack is "enough." 7th in batting average, 9th in on-base percentage, 8th in slugging, 8th in OPS. It was the definition of an average offensive team. And you say that's "enough." Do you even want the Cubs to be successful? And then you turn around and say this: He doesn't hit well enough for the outfield, and he doesn't field the position well enough to get away with diminished batting production. Are you freaking serious? You don't even agree with yourself. I thought production was "good enough?" Nevermind that what you're saying is dead wrong.
  21. Eh, it's more a matter of the discrepancy between BC and ASU than anything else. I admit that ASU hasn't faced tremendous comp. Although it'll be interesting to see how much they skyrocket if they beat Cal next week.
  22. Also, South Florida should totally be #1, and AZ State should be farther up. Both have much better resumes than the undefeateds ahead of them.
  23. I'm so amused that Arizona State is 12th in the AP...with one first place vote.
  24. Arkansas scores with 1:36 remaining to go ahead of Auburn, 7-6. Lord, this was ugly.
  25. Pugh (Auburn freshman lineman) looks like he migth have broken a leg or torn up his knee. Hate to see that. :/ Wow, Mizzou fans must have gone crazy at that touchdown fumble return.
