    I doubt any of the teams are going to leave the Carolina League. The only way the Cubs are going to get in is to find another team willing to come with and expand the league.

    True, though not drafted and developed by the Cubs. He doesn't really fit though. Craig, Freese, and Carpenter were drafted in the 8th, 9th, and 13th rounds respectively and were never on the BA/MLB Top 100 lists. Olt was drafted in the 1st and made it as high as 22nd. He's more of a 1st Tier who has slid to 2nd Tier (the same could be said for Vitters). Other guys who could fit would be: John Andreoli Zeke DeVoss Bijan Rademacher and even Rock Shoulders. That also doesn't count foreign born players that may take longer to develop but could provide the same value.

    Shouldn't have been a shoot-out in the first place. Seabrook got [expletive] lucky with that incredibly stupid cross check into his own goalie. Q needs to make some changes with the defense, they've been playing idiotic for the last three games.

    Modern maybe, but before OT existed ties weren't rare. Out of curiosity I looked it up: In 1973, the last year before OT was implemented, three teams had two ties. Since 74, only one season had two games end in a tie, 1986 (different teams). The Packers lead the NFL in ties since '74, with five. The record for most ties in a season, the 1932 Bears, with six.

    That last drive is why you want Cutler over McNown. Cutler can make the short, fast throws that McNown can't.

    Some of this may because he's being over played because Khabi wasn't up to the task. Craw is second only to Mike Smith in TOI for goalies so far. I doubt that he would have seen the ice except for Khabi's injury, no matter how bad Khabi did tonight. Time to see if Raanta is ready.
