  1. I had a teacher in high school tell us about when he was young, he was working in a factory with a guy who admitted to using heroin. The one thing the guy always said? He regretted ever starting smoking cigarettes. Why cigs and not heroin? Well, according to him, it was nearly impossible to quit cigs, but to get of heroin, all he needed to do was survive a couple days of withdrawal, and won't have the urge to need to do it again, but the urge for cigs never goes away. Thats what the Cubs are like. You may quit, but the addiction will never fully go away.

  8. Nope. Scouting reports are confusing, we don't use them.
  9. he's just struggling with control from the looks of it. probably just something that happens, might be the mound, maybe the footing isnt right, throwing off his motion.

  14. Yes. They are really, really dumb. Pierre plus a low prospect should get him, considering how stupid they seem to be. Unfortunantly, this organization will see the low BA and think he sucks.
  15. Especially if we can find somebody to take a majority of lefty pitchers.
  16. It was a stupid decision that I loved, if that makes sense.
  17. .500 the last 6 games? Uh, no. they are .333. And the two wins? Against the Nationals, one of the worst teams in the league. Face it, this is NOT a .500 team, and to get to .500, they have to play ABOVE .500 ball, and I don't think they can. And Z isn't going to bat, Busty doesn't think like that. Everybody has a role and they should fill it, and if they don't, nothing changes.
  18. .229/.268/.288/.556 in 187 PA's I would not be surprised if he never returns to career norms unless he goes to Minnesota where he can do what Guzman did for so many years (and that got him 4/16).
