    By my count only 18 guys drafted in the 48th round have signed in the last 3 years. The last player the Cubs signed out of the 48th round was C Olin Wick, who is no longer with the organization. The last player to reach the majors draft in the 48th round (that I can see) is Mike Jacobs, who actually didn't sign the year he was drafted there (1998) but waited until the following year when he was drafted in the 38th round. Him and Khalil Green.

    I have been in a game with a triple play (I was catching, bases full, liner back to the pitcher, throws to third for the second out, and then the thirdbaseman tossed it to first when the runner didn't realize that the ball had been caught).

    I am thinking that he might have been too tired, fatigued to be driving at 12:30am, especially after getting up early for a day game and pitching in the game. I don't think that alcohol was involved, or if it was, not in enough quantities to be considered a DUI or a DWI.

    Several times. I think Mickey Morandini is the most recent to do it. furcal Yep. It was seemingly routine, but a sweet play. Furcal did it against the Cards a couple years ago, that was sweet to watch.

    Since April 13 (47 PA) his BA has been .302 OBP: .361 SLG: .721 Thats an OPS of 1.082, although someone might want to check my numbers.
