  2. What the hell replay did you guys see? Looked way more safe than out and even if not, there wasn't enough there to say out
  3. Yeah I think I’m done with the Cubs in 2017 if they lose this game
  4. Like half of the team is injured. And one of our top bats sucked hard for three months and is now in AAA. Also, they've been much better in June, despite the injuries. And one of the reasons they are good is because they can play defense, too. The offense wasn't good when everyone was healthy
  5. Gio Gonzalez, Max Scherzer, and Stephen Strasburg up next
  6. Except for his team last year that won the World Series. I mean ignoring the historic pitching and defense. Under Mallee, way too many players have underachieved.
  7. Everything John Mallee touches turns to horsefeathers
  8. The boos are warranted at this point. I don't need them to be as dominant as they were last year but this team hasn't been watchable so far. 9-17 against over .500 teams is not a good look.
  9. Rondon crumbles in literally any high leverage situation
  10. averaging 100 wins over the last 2 season was obviously incredible, but the downside of that kind of dominance is how awful it feels when you return to normal levels of competitiveness. i'm reading this whole post and all i can think is that it's 6 weeks of stuff just to get to 6 games over .500 The record sucks but I think it's how they've played that's the most jarring. Even in their wins, they look bad. I think they might be lucky to not be worse than they've played so far.
  11. If it wasn't evident before today, it's evident now. It's time to panic.
  12. I wasn't a fan of the trade but I'm so confused by the media and fans parroting the question of why did the Bears draft a QB after signing Mike Glennon. Mike Glennon does not matter. He essentially signed a one year deal and he was never brought to Chicago to be the franchise QB. If the Bears think Trubisky is a franchise QB, who cares if they signed Mike Glennon?
  13. The Bears literally couldn't screw this draft up if they tried but by God did they do it. And I generally don't mind Mitchell.
  14. Might end up being a free day looking at the weather
  15. It's whatever I guess, they won 3 Cups in Chicago. I think we all would have happily taken that in 2009. Maybe they'll have one more random year where players find a fountain of youth and they go on a run but this series has really shown how old and slow they're getting as a team. I've never seen a team just dominate the Hawks like the Predators have done in this series. The Hawks have only had one good stretch in this series where they've outplayed Nashville and that was right after the Rasmussen goal. Outside of that, it's been 170 or so minutes of the Predators completely dominating this series. I thought this was Stan Bowman's best year as Blackhawks GM bringing in young talent to surround the core but he really needed to do more than just Oduya and Jurco at the deadline. I've thought this for awhile but I really don't think he's as good at his job as it's appeared. Bowman has lost nearly every trade he's made as GM and he's done a rather poor job with the cap, one of the reasons he was brought in. And I know he has two hands tied behind his back when it comes to the cap. Jonathan Toews isn't worth the money he's being paid but you also couldn't let your captain and franchise center walk so I'm not too sure what he was supposed to do when it came to that.
  16. Seabrook has looked old and not so good all year to me. And don't look at his contract, it's the thing of nightmares. As is Hossa's if he chooses to retire. I love Toews and he'll always be a legend in Chicago but the fact of the matter is, he's not really close to being worth the cap room he's taking up.
  17. I guess we're going to have to pay some dues for the Cubs winning the World Series. All my sports teams suck again.
  18. Who is calling for reviews from the Cubs? How was that not reviewed?
