  1. But they say they don't want to move Soriano...so when/if Pie is ready, then they move Soriano or Pie goes to right? Hendry has said Pie has the ability to play RF and has done so some already. I think that would ultimately be the plan. I think they will try Soriano in CF in ST. Pie will play some CF and some RF. If Soriano can handle CF, that will be his position. If Soriano has to move to a corner, I think Pie determines what the Cubs do. Right now, the Cubs are looking at Soriano at CF. I think this depends on whether Soriano can handle CF defensively. No, that makes sense and I get it. I just didn't think they would move Soriano once he had a position. If he can handle CF, I'd be suprised if they moved him to RF the following year. To me, I know Pie can play RF, but more pressing is Soriano can't play CF forever even if he can handle it now. Why not put both in there positions now and keep them there.

  3. I was talking to my friend about this, but we couldn't agree. What's the thought on the board? RF: Soriano CF: Pie LF: Murton/Floyd that's what I think, but what happens to JJ then? JJ in center I guess but if Pie shows he's got it in spring traing I can't come up with a solution.
  4. I dont get the whole thing about "handling" the second spot in the rotation. He'll pitch once every five days like every other starter, there is litereally no difference between pitching second or third in the rotation. What I'd like to know is how often over the entire season does the #1 pitcher face the opposing teams #1. I know the first week or so it works, but when days off start adding up I don't think it lines up all that often does it?
  5. What worries me is the cardinals save careers, always get the best of of broken down pitchers. The fact that he's leaving them makes me weary the cubs staff can do it. I don't know the roster moves by the cardinals, maybe they don't want him to leave. Still makes me nervous.
  6. promoted to daytona thank you
  7. what happend to Jody?
  8. Rainbow Six and GOW make the 360 so damn tempting tho... I haven't left my house on nights and weekends since I bougth GOW...I think my wife even moved out.
  9. I thought the lettering and shadows on the numbers are very sharp. I'm glad they lost the sleevless look, although I'm not against it like most people.
  10. I know its just me, but if they don't trade with Baltimore, Pittsburg, or Florida, doesn't seem like they trade.
  11. You can be wealthy without having money, but your bills won't get pad. awesome
  12. Don't be that guy Derwood...wasn't that in a movie? I have to confess, I've worn the band t-shirt...mainly back in highschool when i'd buy the shirt there. Now the closest I get is I wore a pink floyd hat to see Roger Waters this summer....that's ok right? :)
  13. That's sadly debatable. North is actually a much better interviewer. Both have idiotic opinions, and both go on nonsensical rants, but Murphy interviewing someone is a waste of time. North actually has a "rants" bits...can you believe that? Let's have a bit where he just talks fast about anything....like WE CARE! God I hate Mike North.
  14. I can listen to Murph, I can't listen to North. North has the worst show I've ever heard. He doesn't talk sports, its ALL commercials. North actually makes me made when I hear his voice. Why he gets so much credit in the radio industry I'll just never understand.
  15. I listen to murph during lunch soley on the fact to pass the time. The one thing I like about him is he lets callers talk most of the time so its nice to hear general oppinions of random fans and compare them to mine and on this board. Plus he does love Bill James! :)
  16. "When are you handing out #21?" And murph wonders why no one comes on his show... what does that even mean? God, I love how leaving early the last game of a lost season erased every other good thing about Sosa's tenure here. Not for everyone, but Murph personally doesn't like him and he's got the microphone
  17. "When are you handing out #21?" And murph wonders why no one comes on his show... what does that even mean? I guess he's scared of them retiring sosa's number...which they won't do.
  18. What, you don't like a 2 hour browns chicken advertisment interupted by 10 minutes of Murph making no sense? isn't this the time of the year for them to shift their advertising to Vermont Teddy Bears? lol...I thought that was around valentines day! Browns is year round for the Murphster

  21. is 15/per market value for schmidt? Holy Crapolla
  22. Prior returns to 2003 form, we trade for westbrook, win world series.
  23. It's a double edged sword really. They needed and wanted a big bat like Soriano, and they paid to get him. If they let someone outbid them, some are mad they didn't pony up, some don't care. Whatever he does there are going to be arguments and thoughts either way. I personally don't like the length, but its a necessary evil to signing him. Too many years of being outbid, its nice to win one of these. I look forward to 2007. Now go get pitching.
  24. You're gonna get it for making a donut reference!!!
