  1. Pete got 91 right down the freaking pipe and reacted like it was 96. These guys are very broken mentally right now.
  2. Tucker just has no juice. He got 2 fastballs over the middle of the plate there.
  3. But when you get that label and your GM falls over himself to make the pick, you are expected to be a lot more than acceptable. People aren't saying hes gonna wash out but hes showing traits that cast doubt on whether he will be an elite franchise QB.
  4. I mean dude you can't bring up breaking bears rookie qb records as a flex. His rating and QBR were bad, his advanced stats were bad. He took an ungodly amount of sacks because he couldn't process defenses quick enough. If you look at it objectively its easy to see why people are concerned. What did he show that resembled a generational talent, honestly? Getting outplayed by 2 QBs drafted after you doesn't help at all either. Im in full agreeance with mul21. It's a complex system and it could be rough for a few weeks. He has that excuse built-in if it is indeed the case. He will get a pass to an extent. But there are a lot of flaws in his game that will be under major scrutiny.
  5. I sure hope he surpasses his HR total from last year when he played half a season frfr
  6. You're paying attention to full season numbers. Happ is dwarfing Seiya's production over the last few weeks. Seiya is killing us.
  7. If any drastic change is to happen its Mo or Caissie for Seiya. You cant get a 400 OPS out of your DH.
  8. I imagine even the most stoic are feeling pretty uneasy about this season. I mean it was just 2 years ago when we watched in disbelief as they blew a 90% chance to make the playoffs... what seemed unfathomable just 2 weeks ago is starting to look pretty plausible. I may be wrong about this but they have to be seeing the lowest% of 4 seams right now, especially in the zone. Pitchers are absolutely killing us with non-fastballs right now. None of them can do any sort of damage to breaking or offspeed stuff right now.
  9. How the horsefeathers do you take that pitch on 0-2. This offense is absolutely horrible right now.
  10. This offenses inability to adjust to a pitchers attack is giving me so many every year since 2016 vibes
  11. Perfect zone discipline on a 10 pitch PA by Shaw. Awesome.
  12. Zone% similarly doesn't tell the whole story. Have you compared the heat maps?
  13. Tucker has a 0 wRC+ when he goes oppo. For the season. And pitchers are bombarding him with non-fatballs on the outer edge of the zone. He has not adjusted in the slightest, he's gotten notably worse. Busch and PCA are succumbing to this approach as well.
  14. If I were Tom Id cut the payroll by 60m or so. It's embarrassing to have the Brewers continually run circles around you with a massive payroll disparity. I imagine that actually pisses Tom off.
  15. Is this a theme game or is it the result of having the whitest roster since Jackie Robinson was still in UCLA?
  16. Love seeing Busch wack a first pitch curveball. He's been staying in pitchers counts by letting them go too often.
  17. Like 2 guys are hitting who gives horsefeathers about the order of the lineup right now
  18. Id love to know how many pitchers like Rocket, Pedro, Unit, Ryan, etc. accumulated throughout their careers. It annoys me that we won't have pitchers with careers like that anymore. Many guys came out of the gate with the pedal to the medal and never slowed down. This blanket approach bugs me.
  19. I thought you might be right but I figured someone would do the leg work for me, and they did. There’s an eye opener within that sum – 56 of his pitches were strikes. “That’s top-end stuff,” Cubs manager Craig Counsell said in a postgame press conference. “It’s quality stuff. It’s a good formula for success.” It also achieved something few have done. Horton’s 83.6 strike percentage was the highest for a Cubs starting pitcher since 2000 (when such data became available) with a minimum 65 pitches thrown, per SportRadar.
