  1. How do you check fwar live? Was this enough to push PCA over 4?
  2. Had no business swinging at 2-0 but still got the job done. Nice comeback and glad they didn't waste PCA's massive day.
  3. Pete and Busch, how far can you carry us? The rest horsefeathers suck right now.
  4. My goodness, Pete. Hot as hell right now. And of course Bregman chases with RISP
  5. Bregman has been as-expected on the road. Its when he hits at Wrigley where he's been a disaster. I still think he can be a 120 bat but he needs to figure that horsefeathers out. He was a relatively safe bet, Shaw is not. Shaw started to put it together again this year but then went into a really cold spell. I think his defense would have carried him to a decent war but his offense is pretty sketch. I don't think we needed to spend 175m to solve that issue though. Jed is too fixated on safe bets/vets IMO. We especially see that in the pen. He could go and trade for some live arms/stuff but he'd always rather get the steady-ish guy in the FA market for some reason.
  6. Basically the league is like, hey Cubs, bet you cant hit breaking balls, and the Cubs are like, ok fine but you have to eventually throw a fastball, and they come so infrequently from what they are used to, that they are rarely on time for them. And its amazing that we ever get thrown a fastball when the approach is this freaking effective, really. And it makes me wonder, are we the only team that has seen this dramatic shift in approach? You would think this approach would work at least nominally against any team. Bregman needs to figure out how to be effective at Wrigley. His road numbers are right in line with what we should expect. Its his performance at Wrigley that has really dragged his numbers down. Has Wrigley just been more friendly to LHB in general this year?
  7. Scouting is a dying art. Technology will tell us what we need to know.
  8. I bet Bregman has a 35% chase rate with RISP. Start there if you want to fix your RISP issues, dickhead.
  9. Braves LF corrals a ball in the corner and his relay throw hits the pole that holds the netting up. First time I've seen that happen.
  10. My money is on the Brewers getting Abrams. Hoyer won't put his hat in that ring.
  11. Glad Ramirez is getting another start. You got a guy that is not chasing, is making elite contact, and has hit the ball hard. Exactly what the lineup needs right now.
  12. IDK what it was like prior to this playoff but I feel like his rep among players took a major hit. They'll chalk it up to inexperience but if he keeps it up moving forward nobody will cut him slack. He better go hard AF in the weight room this offseason, for several reasons.
  13. PCA leads all position players in fwar since May 1. Whats really great is he has a xwoba over 400. The man is really locked in. If he keeps hitting like he has been he will challenge a 10 war season.
  14. Come on Nico that was way outside and it wasnt even a breaking pitch
  15. Out of challenges in the 3rd inning. What are you doing challenging the first pitch of an AB when youre down to your last challenge?
  16. So much for that. That pitch was destroyed.
  17. Ooh, Mookie with an error. Now I kind of feel like Roberts won't let him finish the no-hitter and Dodgers fans are gonna lose their horsefeathers.
