Cubs had the highest meatball swing% in MLB in 2024, the 5th highest in 2025, and have the 3rd lowest this year. That could be an easy place to find some runs you idiots (Cubs). Over the last 30 days the league has taken the 4S (3rd fewest) and cutter (fewest) away from the Cubs. They've faced the 2nd most sinkers, 2nd most sliders, and 4th most curves. It's been an exceedingly triumphant campaign waged against Cubs hitters not named PCA or Busch

You mentioned in an earlier post that they were good against them in April but once the league started feeding more of them they saw a sharp decline. They're certainly trending towards below league average/bad lately. Let's see where they end in a few months but I certainly don't see them do much damage to them lately.

Nico's approach drives me insane. Sometimes it feels like the zone he's looking in is the zone in which he is likely to do the least amount of damage. I would trade his 90% contact rate for a 20% chase rate all day every day.

Since the Dodgers series Pete has a 3.3 fwar (44 games!) Kurtz is 2nd with 2.6. He finished that series at a 76 wRC+, 65th in war. In the time since he's hit 172, good for 7th. He's absolutely unbelievable.

Unsung hero of the game was Palencia. He was absolutely keyed in.

Thank you. Everything hes hitting lately has been right on the screws. Im really starting to believe hes gonna post 10. And the overrated chatter in comments sections just kills me. Like since the LA series hes gone completely scorched-earth on the league.
