    I get the point, I just think that those suitors were always going to be there and the FA actually has to decide he wants to sign with you. Blame Boras for this horsefeathers. People are like, go get the guy(s), but I don't think those players are ready to decide yet, or neither suitor has hit their number and they don't want to accept the fact that they have overpriced themselves. This is all part-and-parcel if you target Boras clients.

    Are any other teams even linked to Chapman? Feels like fait accompli. I'm not necessarily enthused by the idea but I think it's safe to say that he has a valuable floor established, and that is really what seems to concern Hoyer the most.

    Sign Cody and Hader. Trade for Clase and Naylor. That's basically a Brewers roster and should win the division and only adds ~50M to the payroll.

    I actually am leaning toward some of this being true. They are going to use this year to hold a lot of auditions for prospects. They believe that Counsell will squeeze out enough wins to be competitive. I think they will eventually cave for Bellinger and make some ancillary moves. I'm not convinced that Jed will ever trade a prospect of significance.
