    It's going to be a very long season if we're going to have to outscore our opponents to win games, rather than beating them through pitching and defense. Most teams' pitching staffs don't suck as much as the Reds does.

    I'm planning on attending the 4/21 - 4/23 games. I never had a chance to see a game in old Bush Stadium, but am looking forward to seeing the new facility.

    My favorite player of all time. No, he will never have a chance at the hall unfortunately. There are better players who have not been enshrined.

    I've been to the following parks, and ordered them from best to worst: 1. Wrigley 2. Yankee Stadium 3. Kaufmann 4. Comerica 5. Bank One Ballpark 6. Metrodome I'll be going up to Boston this year to see Fenway, and possibly going to St. Louis to see their new hole. My buddy (who is a Yankee fan) and I have a goal to see as many parks as possible.

    Given the choice between a lifetime of sex with all three of the Dahm triplets and a lifetime of watching Carlos pitch, I would choose watching Carlos and settle for sex with just Nicole. Believe it.

    My love for stoney usually colors my bias in these types of discussions, but I fail to see how this is a snide comment. Do you really think these additions (particularly the almost universally criticized acquisition of jones) improve the Cubs enough to surpass the Cardinals? I sure don't.

    The pen should be fine. The only question is whether or not the offense will be good enough to give them some leads to protect.

    That would require an imaginative approach to the game and some level of intelligence. Baker has shown no possession of either during his tenure.

    I was considering going for the first time this year, but decided that I didn't feel like paying money to be lied to by the Cubs organization when I can get the lies for free. Yes, I'm bitter.

    You guys seem so paranoid. Why would a journalist misrepresent Baker in this situation? Because like others he is writing what he thinks Baker will say in the Q&A. The Q&A with fans hasn't happened yet, so it's rather impossible to say what Baker's answer to these questions from fans in the Q&A will be. How is this at all paranoid? It's paranoid because you're assuming that Baker's going to say the opposite of what he's here represented as saying. The quotations are in quotation marks. Why assume a responsible journalist would make those up? A journalist knows how to paraphrase. Alternatively, why assume that any journalist is a responsible one?

    My Huskers are on the upswing! In all fairness, the referees were horrible, but they called the game horrible for both sides. I feel bad about Lloyd having to burn 2 timeouts, but a win is a win. This is a game that no one in their right mind was picking Nebraska to win, and we did just to spite all of the bastards. I can't wait till next season.
