  1. Life as a Cubs fan hasn't been too tight this past 2 weeks, but the baseball leading into them has ruled. We just need to get some guys healthy again and stop doing idiotic things to beat ourselves and good times will prevail.
  2. I would have made something up, rather than admitting to injury in this fashion, possibly a freak accident during kinky sex with the wife or something.
  3. I was there with my Yankee fan roommate, several rows up behind homeplate. One of the greatest days in the history of the universe, except for Hee Soip being carted off. Never thought I would see an ambulance on Wrigley Field, but I guess there's a first time for everything.
  4. The Cubs might actually win this game. That would rule.
  5. This ump is trying very hard to ruin my life.
  6. Nice to see Pierre make an out. He made plenty of them leading off for us.
  7. hahah this is the saddest post of all-time. You apparently haven't read any of the previous 2500+ of my posts.
  8. Are you watching a different game Fred? I saw a strikeout.
  9. Finally, something good has happened in my life.
  10. I'd appreciate an insurance run or six. Then I would feel somewhat secure in the bottom of the 9th.
  11. I'd like some runs. If it isn't too much to ask.
  12. Hope the season goes similar to '32, but without anyone calling shots against us, and us winning the world series.
  13. I would assume their goal every year is to get to the WS. Hey Glass, nice to see you around again! I figured you'd come out of hiding when the Huskers got good again or the Cubs were doing well! I don't think the players were thinking of just putting the fannies in the seats but I'm sure there was a time when management was. It remains to be seen if he huskers will be good again, but Bo would have been my choice in 2004, and he was definitely my choice this time around. I'll take a .700 winning percentage and one of the best offenses in baseball 3 weeks in any day of the week though. I wasn't necessarily in hiding, just busy with my supervisor gig at PayPal and wrapping up my master of arts degree in leadership at Bellevue University (I have 1 class left tomorrow and then I'm done!!!!) How is life for you and Mrs. Cuse sir?
  14. Hey there Cuse! Ordinarily I have your back sir, but I disagree with you here. Most Cubs teams I have watched for the past 22-odd years have had the lofty goal of getting fans in the seats. I'm excited when our players actually put winning as a priority. God bless you Ronny Cedeno. :) I would assume their goal every year is to get to the WS.
  15. Good evening everyone. Looks like we're going to hit a post season for a change. I like it. -Cow
  16. It's times like this that being able to swear on this site would be a luxury.
  17. Sadly, he was out. A replay from the third base side of the bag showed that the ball beat him there.
  18. Gonna need a Ramirez basehit here to prevent a trip to the psychiatrist.
  19. I'm sorry, Murton is the pinch-bunter.
