  1. Better than Dunn? if i hear one more kyrie cultist say that he is the best pure scorer in basketball i'm going to lose it You know it's funny they say that about Kyrie when he plays PG, but still has that scoring mentality. I think S. Curry threads the line between facilitating an offense and trying to score in the NBA perfectly. Kyrie is a great player though. I don't even know what "best pure scorer" is or how you define that lol.
  2. Mirotic having another good game. There have to be some scouts at this game who took notice of that performance. Hopefully, some more teams are intrigued and we can start a bidding war for him (maybe include Lopez in that trade). His veto powers on any trade are gone if the Bulls pickup his 2nd year option. I think Utah makes the most sense right now.
  3. That's pretty funny. Never seen him do that before in a game. Was he upset about some non-call or something? click the link Hah, thank you. I totally missed the link. Makes sense now I guess. That block by Markkanen was pretty sick.

  5. Sure. Why not? You can F. Off too...
  6. I'm happy Willson feels that way, but it kind of sounds cocky and arrogant lol. Maybe wait a couple more years before saying that? I mean saying that you're going to be better than B. Posey is possible down the road. We'll see, but B. Posey is going into the HoF so you're basically saying you're better than a HoF catcher. Yeah it’s cocky and arrogant and if you say stuff like this it opens up to extra criticism (and knowing Yadi/Cardinals probably bean balls and maybe an injury). But privately I bet most guys feel they are the best and better than the best. Lackey probably thinks he’s still a good MLB pitcher and could go head to head with kershaw, Scherzer, etc Yeah well, that's because Lackey is a crazy horsefeathers. He really should retire, but whatever. Hope he joins the Rockies and gets lit up every start lol.
  7. It's not Moustakas. It's totally about J. Arrieta. No doubt in my mind. Moustakas is still pretty young and can probably sign a 1-year deal for a high AAV and enter the FA market next year when teams will be more open to spending. Some team that loses out on Machado/Donaldson can then sign Moustakas as a decent plan B/C for their 3B needs. Sitting out for a long time doesn't really help position players in terms of leverage unless a key injury strikes a contender at that position of need. That quote totally sounds like Jake. I have zero doubts that quote is about Jake, and I've read very little about teams being interested in signing him. Every top team seems to be targeting Y. Darvish or A. Cobb or trading for C. Archer because Boras and Jake are asking for way too much. Boras wants to avoid the GM/Team President in negotiations. He is trying to convince ownership to sign Jake to a long-term contract like what he did with M. Scherzer except no one is falling for it this time. Woah, who is "Moustakas"? Edit: oh, I guess you meant "M. Moustakas" Yes, ConstableRabbit I meant M. MOUSTAKAS. WOULD YOU ALSO LIKE ME TO WRITE IN ALL CAPS? I CAN DO THAT TOO IF THAT HELPS. horsefeathers OFF...

  9. Better? brought back my JHT avatar (updated because my man made it!) for david to notice me and so people don't further confuse me with mul21. i wouldn't wish for anyone to be confused with me Jen-Ho Tseng is your man lol? Hmm...

  11. Regardless of what we think of this upcoming draft class the Bulls need to start trading vets and collecting assets. There is NO value in making a push for the playoffs and losing in the first-round. The Bulls should know how other teams feel about Niko by now, and pull the trigger and trade him for a draft pick. Again, no one wants the Bulls to make the playoffs except for maybe GarPax and the players.
  12. I wonder who could have said that?! I was thinking the exact same thing lol. No one else comes to mind in this FA class.
  13. Dude, everybody thinks that. It's not even Cubs bias. Show that play to any baseball fan and they'll say K. Orie deserved an error on that play. He messed up and I don't know what the official scorer was thinking...
  14. I don't mind it too much. As long as he doesn't spend too much time down there. Tell him to shelve his CB for a little bit and work on his other pitches/FB command. That CB (when it's working) will be too much for low-A hitters to handle.
  15. Fair enough. A player who has the chance to make the All-Star Game a few times/make the All-NBA team (any of them) and be considered potentially a top 20-25 player in the league. Those players are hard to find, but they usually are top draft picks. You can occasionally get lucky and find them later in the draft (K. Leonard, J. Butler, P. George, etc.) but I don't trust this Bulls FO in terms of scouting and finding/developing those players. They got super lucky with J. Butler. The Bulls have a lot of blind spots when it comes to scouting, and are maybe the least analytical team in the NBA. I get bashing GarPax. I love doing it. But, this is a bit of an odd stance to take, considering they literally JUstT took Lauri at 7th. A lot of teams liked L. Markkanen. It was a very deep draft. I think last year's draft was deeper in talent than this upcoming year's draft class. I mean every team would love to draft a 7' PF/C that can consistently shoot from outside. Great pick and I really like L. Markkanen, but it's still questionable whether he will definitely develop into an "Impact Player" as I defined earlier. Top 25 player in the NBA? He has a good chance to reach that status down the road, but it's not a certainty like when the Bulls drafted D. Rose.
  16. I'm pretty confident we will be bidding on Harper next offseason, but if we sign Harper we won't be the team offering him the most money (probably the Nats/Dodgers) just like when we signed J. Heyward and B. Zobrist. I really do think Harper wants to come to Chicago, but at the same time I believe he wants to break the record for highest paid player/largest contract in MLB. If the Dodgers offer something insane I don't think Theo and Jed will match it or try to beat it unfortunately. I bet the contract will also be structured with multiple opt-outs so B. Harper can hit FA again in a few years and make even more money lol. I think it comes down to Cubs vs. Dodgers for which team signs Harper next offseason. The Yankees don't get involved in the process and probably go after Machado/Donaldson.
  17. I don't think you're getting an impact player picking 6th or 7th this year. A decent player maybe, but we need impact players to really improve and contend down the road. The top tier in this draft is only 4 or 5 players deep (M. Bagley III, D. Ayton, L. Doncic, M. Bamba, and maybe M. Porter Jr.) and after that you're getting solid rotation players/starters. That next tier of players probably aren't developing into impact players. I do like T. Young and he is shooting the lights out in college right now. He is rising pretty fast. Define impact. Fair enough. A player who has the chance to make the All-Star Game a few times/make the All-NBA team (any of them) and be considered potentially a top 20-25 player in the league. 19. That's a pretty crappy return honestly for a player on a 1-year deal. I probably would've just held on to him, and maybe try moving him at the trade deadline this upcoming season. Then again, JD Martinez was killing it last year and the Tigers still received a shitty return for him. I have no idea why competitive teams didn't offer more for him at the trade deadline...
  20. Well, I'll certainly be happy if G. Cole leaves our division and goes to the AL. I do feel bad for Pirates' fans though. They had a good run and now it's all falling apart slowly...
  21. Yeah, I wouldn't trade KB for any other third-baseman either. KB is definitely better than J. Ramirez, and if you take Arenado out of Coors he'll still be a great player but his offensive stats won't be as impressive. It's either him or Machado for best defensive 3B, where they do add a TON of value. A. Rendon is a great hitter and his BB/K last year was super impressive, but KB is a better player and has the higher ceiling. KB should be #1 on that list and I think most executives and GMs would place him there (regardless of contract and years till FA).
  22. Oh I get that part too. I'd watch the best games from a shitty Cubs season as well. I just don't believe or can't believe someone actually came up with the line "Relive The Cardinals only 2017 win at Wrigley Field" lol. I mean if somehow a Cubs fan actually managed to land a job at Foxsports Midwest and wrote that then that is excellent trolling on their part -- bravo =D> .
  23. LMAO, how is that a real thing? No way... We need to investigate this and see if this really aired or not. That's horsefeathering pathetic if true.
  24. Yeah, I didn't want the Cubs to go after Pujols or Fielder either. That trade looks even better because of the team friendly extension he agreed too as well. Sadly, I also remember how highly I thought of B. LaHair and how acquiring Rizzo might create a logjam at 1B lol.
  25. Me too. Wait, now it feels really weird saying it that way...
