  1. gonna blow 6 run leads in back to back nights
  2. seriously let's sign jorge
  3. white sox will still win by 5
  4. They cleared the stands due to lightning that adds up
  5. i just watched the happ home run and i'm confused. highlights from the previous inning showed tons of fans, but there literally wasn't a single person behind home or in the bleachers when he hit the home run.
  6. we're going to get soler
  7. then why trade for madrigal? this sucks
  8. i think he's coming back as long as he doesn't do anything special with the mets
  9. baez/bryant/rizzo/kimbrel all have worse numbers with their new teams. kimbrel lost another one tonight and is starting to become their quintana.
  10. kimbrel is not working out well for the sox so far. doesn't help that tlr doesn't trust him to get through a full inning even though he had only allowed 1 baserunner.
  11. you would sign the worst/oldest player of the 3 just because nico hoerner exists? The point is that we have a team with a bunch of holes to fill. I think we need to fill those holes first before upgrading positions that are already filled by players like Happ, Hoerner, Wisdom, etc. and then deciding if they need to be upgraded. The obvious holes to fill are 2 SP, 1B, LF, and the bullpen. It's not like we're going to be contending next year. those positions aren't "filled". happ sucks, wisdom likely sucks, and hoerner could very well suck.
  12. I think there's a decent chance one of baez/rizzo come back
  13. This $30 million contract to Seager or Correa could have been offered to Bryant and then we would have not only an impact bat, but also would fill an actual hole (LF) that this team has. The money should be spent on the rotation first. A solid pitching staff keeps you in every game. you would sign the worst/oldest player of the 3 just because nico hoerner exists?
  14. So sending out a tweet = caring about on field product, even though they’re at .500 and out of the playoffs, but his personality that is pretty public can’t leave us to believe he’s pretty hands on? of course. i'm not saying you were wrong. i was asking. Hey sorry dude I didn’t mean to come across as like antagonistic or anything. I wish our owners wanted good players too. Cohen just seems very hands on and I thought it was ironic that he was complaining about his own offense that just added Javier Baez when I’m sure he Ok’d that deal it wasn't antagonistic at all. i was just imagining it as him hiring the baseball people and then being pissed that they built a shitty team. also i didn't know how much of scumbag he is, so i was giving him the benefit of the doubt i guess.
  15. I know who steve cohen is but I didnt know anything about him being extra hands on with actually trades and signings and stuff like that. how many owners actually are?
  16. the guy who constructed the team is complaining about the structure of the team we're allllll trying to find the guy who did this was he more involved in constructing the team than a typical owner?
  17. i wish we had an owner that cared about the product on the field
  18. bryant/rizzo/baez were only worth like a combined 5-6 wins with the cubs this season. madrigal already makes up for what baez was doing. So now we just need to replace Bryant, Rizzo, and Kimbrel to get back to a sub-.500 team. it's like posts just go in one ear and out the other
  19. If you truly believe there's nothing we can do until 2024, why are we wasting money and prospects on dudes who will be 34, 33, and 32 on opening day 2024, and then spending 'big money' on Stroman (will be a month shy of 33) or Rodon (31)? You've got $80m coming off the books, you've got Heyward in 2 years, and you aren't scheduling any big paydays for your internal guys anytime remotely soon. Use the freed up cash, get the team to project to .500, and reassess next June on if you want to wait for the teenagers or use them to get big league talent. There is no way PTR is going to spend enough money this offseason to get the Cubs to .500. The Cubs were struggling to play .500 when they still had Rizzo, Bryant, Baez, and Kimbrel. bryant/rizzo/baez were only worth like a combined 5-6 wins with the cubs this season. madrigal already makes up for what baez was doing.
  20. why is len doing the TV broadcast every time I turn on a white sox game?
