  1. Were they supposed to wrestle Z into the MRI machine? In the old days, they'd put a date on someone coming back from injury, but then the player never would. If they don't know what the situation is, I'd rather they say so than try to reassure fans with unrealistic projections. COme on, they're clearly holding stuff back. Lou first lcaims he's skipping Harden's start as a precaution, then he eventually admits something isn't right....then the next day finally admits there's discomofrt. Meanwhile Harden keeps claiming he's fine. Then after he game Lou is all "Oh, I guess it was Z's arm or something.. I don't know". Yeah Lou, I'm sure you aren't aware of why he had to leave the game. Now Lou is being all vague again about the Z MRI stuff. It was available to him, but he didn't take it? What the hell does that mean? Just be straight with us.
  2. Does anybody trust anything the organization says right now? I had re-ained a lot of confidence in them since the Prior/Wood days, but it seems like they're taking a huge step back. All this secretive gabage has to stop and Lou needs to stop playing dumb.
  3. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cubs/1143310,harden090308.article Umm, if he has discomfort, he needs to not pitch until it goes away.
  4. What a nightmare. And yeah, I don't trust anything this organization says right now. They're back to where they were in the Prior/Wood/Dusty days.
  5. Okay now I'm worried. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cubs/1141759,CST-SPT-cub03.article
  6. So they're playing just the right amount of lose? What exactly is too much lose?
  7. All I care about with Z is that he's ready for the playoffs. As long as he's not out for the season, I'll be happy.
  8. Hopefully it's just the dead arm and he'll be good in a couple weeks.
  9. How did Lee look silly tonight? He was 2-5 with a walk and the double play was just bad luck. He hammered that ball. He should have been trying to get it in the air, but still, it's not like he reached out and guided it weakly to the shortstop like he usually does. Oh, and they scored 4 runs after Zambrano left the game.
  10. We probably won't know tomorrow. He's going in the morning, so I think we'll at least have something preliminary on what is wrong. Who said he's going in the morning? Lou said he's going tomorrow and being that's it's a night game, you'd have to figure he is going early tomorrow. Why? It's not like A) Zambrano has to be at the game and B) He couldn't go in the afternoon and still get to the park in plenty of time

  12. Not as "meh" as ours would be after Harden and Dempster. Parra and Lilly is about a wash. Dave Bush has like a 1.12 WHIP and Suppan has been pitching very well. I think their rotation woulds hands down be better than ours if Zambrano is out.
  13. It's kind of funny how every time one of our division rivals suffers an injury to a key player, the Cubs end up answering by one of their players going down shortly after. Gallardo goes down...Soriano goes down. Pujols goes down...Zambrano goes down. Sheets looks like he might have gone down...Zambrano goes down again.
  14. Disagree Color me shocked. Why? I get reactionary in game threads but i praise the team just as much when they're going good. You really think the Cubs are better than the Brewers if Z goes down? I really don't. I can see that you aren't interested in debating that though, you'd rather just take a shot at me. Youj're a mod though so it's cool.
  15. I really don't care about any games until we find out about Zambrano.
  16. How long have you been a Cubs fan?
  17. And yet you cared enough to comment and let us know that you're going to skip it. Interesting. It helps him feel important
  18. False info? If the words are that "he's not feeling good" and he's going to see an apparent arm specialist, what's your guess as to the ailment? Strep throat, maybe? You said that he said his arm hurts, which is false. Obviously something is up with his arm, but that doesn't mean he was feeling pain.
  19. Wait, did he say his arm "hurts", or that he just didn't feel good? Big difference. I wasn't listening to the radio; I'm going off what the OP said. Well maybe you shouldn't be posting false info then.
  20. Wait, did he say his arm "hurts", or that he just didn't feel good? Big difference.
  21. I'm beginning to wonder if the Cubs aren't as good as we thought they were. They're still the best team in the league.
  22. So, umm, why is nobody talking about Zambrano? The fact that they've said ntohing about why he was lifted is not good.
