  1. So much for winning 100 games. So when do we start worrying about the possibility of the overachieving offense mailing it in in September?
  2. I don't agree with Sabathia throwing this many CG (except for today) but why is this just assumed that Sabathia got lit up from being overused? He did face the 2 of the best teams in the AL last year in the postseason. I heard on the radio that this year the NL is going to allow only good NL teams into the playoffs too.
  3. Haha, who's still following us compared to the wild card?? We're making the playoffs, live with it. Is THIS a joke? omg Why? I understand that we're fans of the Cubs and we should watch what we say about stuff like this, but we're making the playoffs. Let's say the Cubs slump and go 10-15 down the stretch. The Phillies would still have to go 20-5 just to tie us. The Cards would have to go 21-4. Niether team is equipped for that kind of run.
  4. - Astros are on a hot streak and always hit well against the Cubs - Cubs are in a mini-slump right now - Jason Marquis vs. Roy Oswalt - Brewers on a winning streak with no signs of slowing It's a perfect storm of pessimism. Plenty of reasons to be negative about this week. Seriously, what did you people expect vs the Pirates? You're acting like the Brewers just reeled off 17 in a row against the AL East or something. The Brewers are beating up on terrible teams like they should. The Mets are not a terrible team.
  5. I like their chances off winning tomorrow better than ours. Marquis vs. Oswalt and the hot Astros. Fun.
  6. OH NOES WE'RE NOT MAKING THE PLAYOFFS NOW. ONLY 10 GAME LEAD AFTER WE INEXPLICABLY SPLIT A SERIES VS A GOOD TEAM? THIS IS MADNESS
  7. Uh... Their starters did, no "uhs" about it Hamels did and that's it. How many scoring opportunities did the Cubs waste? Blanton pitched poorly and got let off the hook, Myers gave up what, like, 11 hits? Moyer's line is nothing special either.
  8. Extremely disappointing to split this series after winning the first 2. Just like that, the division lead is not so comfortable.
  9. Win tomorrow or the lead is down to 4.5 again
  10. OMG STOP BEING SO NEGATIVE. YOU'RE RUINING THE GAME THREADS lol it's funny that you pick a complete joke post to do this on Damnit I quoted the wrong post and ruined everything
  11. OMG STOP BEING SO NEGATIVE. YOU'RE RUINING THE GAME THREADS
  12. Dave Bush has a 1.12 WHIP.
  13. What a joke that whole family is. Pathetic.
  14. Yeah I think I'm going to bodog it too. I wish I was older and could afford to put a huge amount of money on it. Either way you're going to win.
  15. Let's knock this wife-beating meatball around.
  16. Nice job Nomahh. God the Dodgers are a miserable team
  17. neat.. another point
  18. wow the dodgers got a point
  19. Haha he was clearly out dude. No debate.
  20. I hope so.. I mean, the CUBS can close the book on them. But the Brewers cant yet, Im starting to figure out why you guys hate the Cards so much.. Bunch of babies they are. No idea if you are referencing Wednesday night's game or not, but if so... I don't blame Pujols for yelling at Villanueva. That was uncalled for, posturing at the StL bench like that. I don't like the Cards much at all, but still. Don't blame Albert for standing up for his team. It has to do more then just that. I agree IF Villy was yelling at the bench (which I still dont think he was) he was out of line. But all they do is cry about everything. They talked about how they don't like us because we watch our homeruns and we untuck our jerseys. When Braun struck out in the 9th, Molina also started saying somethign when Braun was walking away. I just can't stand them. Haha, come on man. It was very obvious that he was gesturing towards the St. Louis bench, probably because of the Braun HBP.
  21. Mets pen trying hard to blow it in the bottom of the 9th....
