  1. Without a doubt. Yes, how dare people expect to win a game against the worst team in baseball after leading 4-0. Ridiculous. feel free to fly off the handle whenever you want. don't be surprised when people say you're being irrational or crazy, though. So you think it's irrational to be upset about blowing a 4-0 against a terrible hitting team by issuing multiple walks? It's irrational and completely ridiculous to say that anything worse than a sweep is unacceptable, for one. Where did I say that?

So you think it's irrational to be upset about blowing a 4-0 against a terrible hitting team by issuing multiple walks? Nope. But I think people can be upset without being irrational. So how was I being irrational? Wow, Derrek Lee just missed 2 straight meatballs right down the middle.
  3. On a day where the wind is blowing straight out, a 4-run lead is nothing. For all the times the Cubs have come back from 2-3-4 run deficits early in the game, one would think that there would be occasions where the reverse would happen. Last I checked, though, the wind is still blowing out, and the Cubs are still the highest scoring team in the NL. Does that guarantee victory? Absolutely not. But it's not absurd. The wind blowing out has nothing to do with walking the bases loaded.

  5. Without a doubt. Yes, how dare people expect to win a game against the worst team in baseball after leading 4-0. Ridiculous. How dare people expect Cub pitching to be perfect every time out, even against the worst team in baseball. You don't have to be anywhere near perfect to hold a 4-0 lead against a terrible offense.
  6. If you're talking about me, I'm here during wins as well.

  8. When does Kosuke start getting booed? Also, Fukudome would e about my last choice off the bench. Sad.
  9. Keep in mind that the Nats just ended a 12 game losing streak last night and we're about to give them a winning streak.
  10. I hope Howry gives up about 5 runs here.
  11. This is pathetic. Now we have to win 2 straight just to avoid a .500 homestand against the Red and Nationals.
  12. Joe Nathan's ERA is under 1 now.
  13. My friend, who is a valet, parked Pavano's car once and said he completely stiffed him on the tip. Pretty funny.
  14. How is it a stretch? Following up an MVP season with a .261/.326/.421 season seems pretty bad to me.

  16. The final score of 10-3 sounds like a single game, not a 3 game series vs. the Reds at Wrigley in which both Ted Lilly and Josh Fogg pitched. Why are you grouping Lilly with Fogg? Lilly is not a bad pitcher.
  17. I was just watching the Phillies game and Rollins kicked a ground ball to allow the go ahead run to score (it was a tough play though, I think they gave him a hit) and he was getting booed pretty bad. What he said about Philly fans is right, but he's an idiot for saying it...especially with the miserable season he's having.
  18. I wonder how Kosuke feels about Lou repeatedly calling him out in front of the media. It doesn't matter, but I think it would be interesting to find out what Kosuke is thinking.
  19. Well I wouldn't expect a guy with a Fukudome picture as his avatar to accept any warranted criticism of this team. Heh, really? Poor flustered little darling. You've had a busy night! Good one. You really got me. careful he might foe you. :rotfl: Thanks for the heads up. I was devastated to learn they he might foe me. How am I supposed to deal with that?

  22. we should tip our caps or something  Losing is one thing, but that was ridiculous. Cordero has been awful, so Ramirez swings at ball 4, followed by Edmonds and Derosa taking called strikes right down the middle.
  23. They aren't slumps. Fukudome just isn't good and Lee looks to be on the decline.
  24. We should have won that game like 3 or 4 to nothing.
  25. But it's not just one game. The offense does this a lot. Unpossible --- they aren't head and shoulders ahead of the rest of the NL by doing this alot. Poop happens. They are head and shoulders above the rest of the NL because they pour it on in blowouts. If you're going to lose, lose by one with the wind blowing in. I still wouldn't trade places with any other National League team right now. Neither would I, but that doesn't really say that much.
